Greetings! Top

Greetings!

As we have just arrived at the Spring Equinox, the evidence of climate change is abundant. Last month we mentioned our doves nesting in January, absurdly early. Those baby birds have flown and now another brood is under way in the same nest - no time to fertilize that poor plant!

When we sent out our newsletter talking about early spring, we received immediate responses of photos.  Here is one of them:

Ice Storm - Port Angeles, WA

Sorry for the omission of the sentences I had written:  And to our friends in the cold climates, we don't mean to rub it in for you are in your coldest, hardest winter, all the way down to Florida. We are in a severe drought, so we'll send sun to all of you - please send rain and snow to us!

Why all of this weather talk in a newsletter to Acutonics Sound Healers? Nothing else to talk about? Oh contraire! We are not separate from our Earth and her patterns. "Heaven, Earth and I Are One" is a basic precept of Taoist thought.

In vibrational medicine, we are always working with resonance, in all realms. The Earth's weather is part of that resonance. In Chinese Medicine, the climactic state is always seen as relevant, because we are all the effect of it. Even if we are always protected from cold, heat, dampness and dryness by shelter (home, office and car) it is also an energetic force that affects us. The earth makes its 365 day journey around the sun, and we are affected by it.

Last year we wrote about how "spring can really hang you up the most", referring to a great old jazz standard. Why? In spring, we are entering the time of the Wood Element, when the liver and gallbladder are the corresponding organs. The emotions of the Wood Element are anger, frustration and depression. Sound familiar? This can feel even worse when everything is blooming and singing and chirping all around you. The spirit of the Wood Element, the Hun, is restless by nature.

The essential nature of the liver is to be the "free and easy wanderer". Some of you may have taken herbal formulas with that name. The best state for the energy of the liver is to be relaxed and free. This is not easy to sustain for us, especially since the nature of the Wood Element is to plan, to be focused and to strive.

Ah, the challenge, the divine dance to achieve balance. "Moderation in all things - including moderation" is one of our favorite adages. Another concept that we find very helpful is a quote from Meher Baba: "Living and striving rests with man, but results rest with God; therefore, do your best, then don't worry, be happy." To be able to truly do this creates a very relaxed wood type.

Not feeling it? Want to learn more? We will be speaking in depth about the Wood Element this Sunday, March 23, from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Come see springtime in profusion at our home in Concord.  For more information or to RSVP please see the Forum section below.

Protocol - Find Your Free & Easy Wanderer

This treatment will also help allergies, asthma, and digestive problems - common problems seen at this time of year.

In this protocol all forks are paired with Ohm.

  • Ohm U at ears

  • Ohm U at Kid 1 - Helps you to remember you are connected to the Earth and she is supporting you

  • NM 5th at 3rd eye (Du 20) or on heart chakra (Ren 17), solar plexus chakra

Do these in descending order for this purpose - because the movement of liver energy is upward. To balance it, bring it downward.

  • Zodiac 3rd - On the 4 gates, L14 (Union Valley), Liver 3 (Great Surge)

You can add a layer of New Moon 5th and/or Chiron 2nd and Mercury Microtone if you have the planets. Jupiter is the planet that corresponds to the liver (think biggest Yin organ, biggest planet). When you feel like you have enough space (to breathe, think, move, etc.) you can become more generous, more giving, more likely to laugh and let things go, the nature of Jupiter.

Still not there? Or just want to be really thorough? Now add our favorite spread to help you feel more free:

  • Lung 1 and Liver 14 (Cycle Gate - also called gate of hope - which is helpful when people are truly depressed or feeling stymied by oppression, self or others)

Layer these intervals on these points: Zodiac 3rd, NM 5th.

If you have planets:

Use Mercury microtone to detox your thoughts and patterns or to help you invoke a lightness of being again.

  • Use Chiron 2nd to release the old patterns that keep you in your rut of thinking and doing.

  • Use Jupiter to create expansion and options in all the twelve meridians, and to feel able to do anything.

  • To finish, give yourself (or your client) an Ohm cocoon to keep you in this peaceful, expanded state - gates open, chakras open, the body now in harmony with the time of year.

You can use any and all octaves of Ohm for this purpose. If you have several, try them on yourself to see what feels right for right now.

Poem

This World

By Mary Oliver

I would like to write a poem about the world that has in it nothing fancy

But it seems impossible.

Whatever the subject, the morning sun glimmers it.

The tulip feels the heat and flaps its petals open and becomes a star.

The ants bore into the peony bud and there is the dark pinprick well of sweetness.

As for the stones on the beach, forget it.

Each one could be set in gold.

So I tried with my eyes shut, but of course the birds were singing.

And the aspen trees were shaking the sweetest music out of their leaves.

And that was followed by, guess what, a momentous and beautiful silence

As comes to all of us, in little earfuls, if we're not to hurried to hear it.

As for spiders, how the dew hangs in their webs even if they say nothing, or seem to say nothing.

So fancy is the world, who knows, maybe they sing.

So fancy is the world, who knows, maybe the stars sing too, and the ants, and the peonies, and the warm stones, so happy to be where they are, on the beach, instead of being locked up in gold.

One of our most popular classes! This class is audited again and again.

This class will explore the greater self that we encounter through the four levels of the mind as defined by different traditions and maps of the esoteric body. We will explore and enhance intuitive skills through interspecies communication, dowsing, and learning how to test. There will be a strong focus on integrity in the session and work place, as well as space holding and cleansing. This class is taught by Laurie Herron, whose vast experience as an energetic healer makes this class rich and exciting.

Required for practitioner certification.
