IIE Europe's 2014 Award for Excellence
 We are pleased to announce that the 2014 IIE Europe Award for Excellence has been awarded to James Hensley to recognize his accomplishments in promoting closer educational relations between the United States and Europe through his leadership of the Dorrance Scholarship Programs. "With the 2014 Award, we are honoring a true champion of international education whose work has impacted the lives of many cohorts of first-generation college students in Arizona. Through the Dorrance Study Abroad Program, Jim directly contributes to Generation Study Abroad, IIE's initiative to mobilize resources and commitments with the goal of doubling the number of U.S. students studying abroad by 2019," said IIE Europe's Director Ágnes Vajda.

GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program
The GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program in Central Europe is now accepting applications for the next program year. The application deadline is February 27, 2015.

The GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders university scholarship is a leadership program which is unique in the Central-Eastern European region. The program was launched in Hungary by the GE Foundation in the fall of 2002, followed by Poland in 2003, the Czech Republic in 2004; Romania joined in 2006, turning the scholarship into a regional model. Winners receive a $4,000 USD award, but more importantly become part of a network including Czech, Hungarian, Polish and Romanian top students, and with GE's help get an insight into the workings of one of the world's most successful companies. In addition to this they also get a chance to perform community service in their own countries. All of this aims to create a network of future leaders in the Central and Eastern European region who want to contribute to the development of the region as well as their own countries on the societal level as well, and for whom cross-regional economic and social cooperation is a value.

Russell Berrie Fellowship in Interreligious Dialogue

The Russell Berrie Fellowship in Interreligious Studies is now accepting applications for the academic year 2015-16.
The application deadline is March 20, 2015
The aim of the Fellowship Program is to build bridges between Christian, Jewish, and other religious traditions by providing the next generation of religious leaders with a comprehensive understanding of and dedication to interfaith issues. Applicants of all faiths and backgrounds from around the world - including students who are currently enrolled at the Angelicum - who have a demonstrated interest in Interreligious Studies, are encouraged to apply.
The Fellowship offers priests and members of the laity an opportunity to study for a Licence Degree or a Diploma in Interreligious Studies at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), in Rome. The award provides one year of financial support for Russell Berrie Fellows, covering tuition, a modest living stipend and book allowance, examination fees, and travel to and from the recipient's home country.
