We would like to thank everyone who attended our annual holiday reception in Budapest for joining us in celebration and honoring G�bor Boj�r for his contributions to International Education in Europe. We enjoyed having you as our guests and look forward to working with you in the coming year.

GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program 2014
 
Thirty-two university students from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania will join the regional network of the GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program in 2014. The program celebrates its 10th anniversary in the Czech Republic
this year.

Through the program so far GE has provided a competitive edge to 
462 talented students from the CEE region, helping to build a regional network of leaders and contributing to the development of the region's human capital.
 

The program provides financial support (a €1500 annual scholarship for two years) as well as workshops, trainings and shadowing day opportunities to second year undergraduate students from selected universities in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania. As part of the program, students perform community service and also have the opportunity to participate in a regional Leadership Development Program over the summer.

Reminder: The application deadline for the Japan-IMF Scholarship Program is January 31, 2014.

 
The Japan-IMF Scholarship Program for Advanced Studies (JISP) is a two-year program intended to help Japanese nationals obtaining Ph.D. degrees in macroeconomics and preparing them to work as economists at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The scholarship is funded by the government of Japan and administered by the IMF Institute with assistance from the Institute of International Education (IIE). Annually, up to seven scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to students with a record of high academic achievement.

CEU Master's and Doctoral Scholarships 2014-2015

   

Central European University (CEU) offers English-language graduate programs in the social sciences and humanities, law,public policy, business management, economics, environmental sciences and policy, and mathematics. Located in Budapest, the University is accredited in the United States and Hungary. CEU is committed to attracting talented students and scholars from around the world, and provides over €20 million in scholarships and fellowships each year. CEU European Award for Excellence in the Social Sciences & Humanities

  

The European Award for Excellence in the Social Sciences and Humanities was launched in 2011 upon the milestone of CEU's 20th anniversary, and is the first and only such pan-European honor. It is accompanied by a €5,000 prize.

 

Instructors of any rank who teach in the European Higher Education Area are eligible. Candidates may nominate themselves or they can be nominated by colleagues, current/former students, or administrators.
 

The deadline for applications is January 20, 2014.
