Social & Emotional Well-being Booster Kit

To celebrate the DPA (Daily Physical Activity) Initiative turning 10 years old in Alberta, Ever Active Schools is launching a Social & Emotional Well-being Booster Kit that connects to all dimensions of wellness - physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual!

"Social & emotional development is a child's ability to understand the feelings of others, control their own feelings and behaviours, and get along with peers. In order for children to attain the basic skills that they need such as cooperation, following directions, demonstrating self-control and paying attention they must have social & emotional skills."
- Landy, S. (2002). Pathways to Competence: Encouraging Healthy Social and Emotional Development in Young Children
To support the cultivation of these skills with games and activities, the DPA equipment included in this kit promotes physical activity through an inclusive lens - supporting all students in becoming the best learners they can be.
