We're looking forward to the 2015-16 HASS! We'll be touring the province and visiting 13 locations across Alberta. AMA Youth Run Club 2015-16 Kick Off


The 2015-16 AMA Youth Run Club kick off events will take place on October 1 in Calgary and October 8 in Edmonton. Start a run club at your school by registering for the AMA Youth Run Club  and enjoy plenty of free resources. Contact Hayley for more information.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Ever Active Schools Summer Institute in August! If you couldn't attend, you can access the speaker PowerPoint presentations as well as a photo gallery of the event.

Yoga in Schools Residency Pilot Project

Those were just a few voices from the student participants in the Yoga Pilot Program.
In 2015, six certified yoga teachers taught yoga to 2,782 students, teachers and staff for extended periods of time in 11 schools across urban and rural Alberta. Partners included: Ever Active Schools, BeFitForLife and the school divisions of: Parkland, Peace River, Aspen View, Rocky View and Calgary.

Recreation and Physical Activity Division Micro-Grant Project: Accepting Proposals
The Recreation and Physical Activity Division of the Government of Alberta is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity to support non-profit organizations working to improve individual and community well-being through physical activity and recreation programs.

The Recreation and Physical Activity Division Project Micro-Grant is making an open call for proposals to be judged by a live panel session at the 2015 ARPA conference.
All applications will be evaluated and all chosen proposals will be invited to present.

Application Deadline: September 15, 2015.
