We have some staffing changes at Ever Active Schools (EAS) as we head into the summer season.
Megan Hunka, Communications Coordinator
Megan is returning to school to advance her studies in communications and design. Megan joined EAS two years ago and immediately set out some big goals of improving the reach and awareness around the work of healthy school communities. Under Megan's leadership EAS spearheaded many new initiatives including a magazine titled Healthy Schools Alberta, a revamped monthly electronic newsletter, a new website and an engaging social media program. EAS will miss Megan's keen attention to detail, kindness and willingness to help all areas of the organization. Her efforts have allowed EAS and provincial partners to better communicate the many initiatives that are going on in the province. Megan is a caring person and has been a rock of support to all EAS and the many partners. We wish Megan the best of luck and know that she will be successful in her future endeavours.
Tracy Lockwood, Education Coordinator
Tracy is also leaving EAS at the end of the summer to embark on new adventures. Tracy has been with EAS for eight years after coming over from Schools Come Alive. For some in the province, Tracy truly represents and defines Ever Active Schools. Her love and enjoyment of being in schools offering professional development has helped thousands of educators across the province. Her loyalty and support of EAS through growth and new challenges has been immeasurable. Everyone within EAS has at one time sought out and received Tracy's leadership and mentorship. Tracy has inspired new projects, developed resources, engaged with partners, and developed meaningful relationships with the goal of having healthy active youth in our province. EAS wishes Tracy well and we will miss her 110 percent dedication and friendship.
