Ever Active Schools Summer Institute

August 13-14, 2015

The Ever Active Schools Summer Institute (EASSI) is a unique professional learning opportunity that empowers teachers and those working within education on specific priorities of wellness. This year, the EASSI will educate, engage and embed social emotional well-being knowledge and training in a school community. Throughout this day and a half event, participants will have the opportunity to build their knowledge and increase their understanding of a safe, welcoming, respectful learning environment. Participants will leave with skills, resources and supports to apply to their everyday classrooms. Learn more.

New Healthy Eating and School Sport Policy

Alberta Schools Athletic Association and Ever Active Schools have initiated a policy change to help promote healthy eating at school sporting events at the provincial level:

All food and beverages sold and provided at ASAA provincial championship events held in ASAA member school facilities must fit within the Choose Most Often and Choose Sometimes categories of the Alberta Nutritional Guidelines for Children and Youth.

We want to support school communities in making this change. Let us know how. Start the conversation on Twitter: #fuel4performance @ASAA and @EverActiveAB. Learn more about the project.
