How do the arts connect to the whole child?
We Asked: How do the arts connect to the whole child?

On March 25th, we brought together art teachers and key stakeholders within the arts community to discuss how the arts support students in all aspects of their lives. At the event, we asked attendees how the arts connect to the whole child. Watch the video to find out their responses! Visit the website or contact Kim for more information.

Sports Nutrition for Youth: A Handbook for Coaches
The handbook, developed by Alberta Health Services, supports school and community coaches who wish to improve their knowledge, ability and confidence in teaching key nutrition messages related to sports and activity. The handbook targets coaches who work with healthy, recreational athletes but much of the information also applies to active youth in general who may not be formally involved in organized sports.  Read the handbook.
Concrete Theatre
For the last two decades, Concrete Theatre has been dedicated to bringing professional theatre artists together to create and present award-winning, relevant and challenging plays for young people.  They believe that young people deserve to see brilliant theatre made just for them by people interested in the power of theatre as a tool to not only entertain, but to educate, impact and provoke positive change.  Concrete Theatre has an Artist in Residence program and also performs at schools.
