STALLIONS IN THE HEADLINES
Thank you to all who helped renovate the home of a family in need last Saturday through a connection with the Run the Race program. Pictured above left and below right are the students and teachers who helped with the renovation. Also pictured are the before and after photos of the children's bedroom; six children share this room. A special thank you to those who participated in the Boys Lacrosse Clinic (pictured below) to raise funds for this home makeover. 60 feeder school students attended!
The coupons have all been collected, cut, sorted and shipped off to soldiers and their families in Brussels, Belgium, and we very pleased to announce that once again the French Club has exceeded their goal, collecting over $30,290 in manufacturers' coupons this year. On behalf of the St. Francis DeSales High School French Club and the US Army stationed in Brussels, Belgium, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the DeSales, St. Matthias and Clintonville Academy communities for yet another successful Coupon Drive to support the Military overseas. We would like to extend a special thank you to Mr. Kinley and Mrs. Lindsay, principals of St. Matthias and Clintonville Academy, and their students, parents, faculty and staff, for joining us again this year in this important drive, along with club members Erneste Dusengimana and President Brenna Bookless who served as our ambassadors to the two schools for this project. Finally, a special thank you to the members of the Coupon Drive Committee who have spent hours and hours cutting, sorting, tabulating and packaging coupons (much of it over Easter break and weekends). Merci to Brenna Bookless, Lydia Burke, Devin Bury, Taylor Gray, Sera Kitchen, Carly McGuire, Julia Murray, Jennifer Regrut, Delaney Rice, Amari Savage, Theresa Tran, and our newest club member, Mrs. Cassady.
Last night senior Austin Yochus was honored at the 2014 Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner downtown at the Renaissance Hotel. He was recognized along with 125 other Eagle Scouts in the Simon Kenton Council for obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout in 2013. The keynote speaker of the evening was Dr. E. Gordon Gee.

HEALTH HISTORY ADVICE FOR SENIORS
Finding old immunization records can be difficult. To avoid having to hunt for old records and possibly repeat vaccinations that cannot be documented, be sure all immunization providers give you a written record of the vaccine(s) provided. Remember to bring your immunization record to all medical appointments. If you maintain an up-to-date copy of your record, you'll be ready to document your immunization history whenever necessary! The school nurse has a copy of the immunizations that were required for school attendance. If you need a copy of those immunizations, contact school nurse Ruth Ann Farthing at rfarthing7065@columbus.k12.oh.us. She is also at DeSales on Tuesdays.

Protocol for damaged iPads or iPads not turned in:
- We will not accept a damaged iPad. "Damaged" consists of broken or cracked screen, damaged case as in dented corners, or dented anything on the iPad itself.
- It will be up to the student to have it repaired before turn in.
- Student's diploma will be held until their iPad is turned in fully operational with all accessories.
- If a student does not turn in an iPad, they will not receive their diploma.
- We will be checking to ensure the serial number of the iPad a student turns in matches the iPad number we have on record.
If you have had your iPad replaced and have not contacted Mr. Stevens or Mr. Murphy you will need to do so before the turn-in process so we can update our records.
As always if you have any questions do not hesitate to email Mr. Murphy or stop by his office.

DAILY REFLECTION |
|
We belong to God in all things and without reserve, without any exception whatsoever. Our only motivation should be the honor of being entire His. If we have in our hearts one single fiber that is not His and that does not belong to Him, Oh God! We should be prepared to rip it out. Let us be at peace, and let us say (looking only at the cross), "Yes, if we were to be aware that even a tiny portion of our hearts was without the seal of the Crucified, we would not want to keep it for a single instant." (Letters 358; O. XIII, pp. 200-201)
