AN EASTER MESSAGE
Easter Blessings,

On behalf of the students, faculty, and administration of Saint Francis DeSales High School I would like to wish your family well during this Holy Triduum.  This time of the year provides us with an opportunity to reflect on Jesus' love for each of us, a love so great that he would lay down his life for us.  It is my hope that you are able to spend time in prayerful reflection on how you can model Christ's life for those with whom you interact.

During this solemn yet beautiful time, may we be strengthened by the promise of Jesus' Resurrection. Let us join together as a community of faith to pray for all of those in our school family who may be suffering.

In closing, may each of you be blessed with the joy and hope associated with Christ's Resurrection.

Peace and God's Blessings,

Daniel J. Garrick

Principal

Lord Jesus Christ,

your passion and death is the sacrifice that unites earth

and heaven and reconciles all people to you.

May we who have faithfully reflected on these mysteries

follow in your steps and so come to share your glory in

heaven where you live and reign with the Father and

the Holy Spirit one God, for ever and ever.

STALLIONS IN THE HEADLINES

Work and Family life students prepared an Easter inspired meal to take down to serve at the Run the Race center on Tuesday. When the group arrived at the center, student volunteers Azya Gilbert, Darryll Banks, Emily Kurek, Rosario Corona, Dominique Capparuccini, Maddie Geirsz, and Sasha Battle set the table and acted as servers to mimic the experience of
dining out for the kids at the organization's after-school program. They also held an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. A big thanks to Concord Mortgage who was a wonderful "sponsor" to our egg hunt. Their office collected over a $100 and gave us a box full of candy and plastic eggs. Thanks to students in Mrs. Kapala's classes who helped fill the eggs too.

DAILY REFLECTION

If the world despises us, let us rejoice, because there is reason for it; let us realize that we deserve it. If it esteems us, let us despise its judgments. Its esteem for us is blind, without foundation of knowledge or truth. Do not worry about what the world thinks. Despise its esteem. Let is say whatever it likes, whether good or bad. What is desirable is that we keep our eyes fixed on Christ, going about our work no matter what the world thinks. Truly the world is a great charlatan and always talks too much, both about what is good and what is bad. (Letters 331; O. XIII, pp. 150-151)
