STALLIONS IN THE HEADLINES

Congratulations to senior Katherine King for being selected as November's Westerville Rotary Student of the Month. Guidance Counselor Mrs. Shelton accompanied Katie to a luncheon at Villa Milano last week for this recognition. Pictured left. 

 

The French National Honor Society held their inductions on Wednesday morning. Congratulations to the new members (pictured below in row 2; row 1 are current members, as well as Brice Fithen pictured on left in row 2). 

 

Congratulations to the Girls Volleyball team for finishing their season as State Semifinalists! Break a leg to all the performers in this weekend's fall show, and good luck to the Girls Soccer team who plays in the State Championship game today at 3:30pm at Crew Stadium. Check out the video that was shown at this morning's pep assembly (created by senior Arius Cook and Mrs. Barber)!

This Weekend! Fall Show - Faith County II: An Evening of Culture
When: November 9 at 7pm
            November 11 at 3pm 
Admission: $8.00
Faith County was originally performed on the SFDHS Little Theatre stage in 2008. This sequel brings audience members back to Mineola, where the Community Theatre is producing "Romeo and Juliet." With a dog barking, the telephone ringing, and a scoreboard buzzing, the cast members try to forge through the Shakespearean classic while giving the audience many reasons to laugh along the way.

SPIRITUAL REFLECTION 

God's will lies in exercising restraint amid consolations and in practicing patience in tribulations. Hearts that are resigned prefer the second because it contains more of God's will. To sum up, God's good pleasure is the supreme object of the soul. Wherever it sees it, it runs after it. It always searches for the place where there is more of it, without any other consideration. This soul is led on by God's will as by a beloved chain, and wherever His will goes, the soul follows. Yes, it would prefer hell to paradise if it knew that it would find a little more of God's good pleasure in hell than in Heaven. (T.L.G. Book 9, Ch. 4; O. V, pp. 121-122)
