FRENCH EXCHANGE
St. Francis DeSales and Bishop Watterson will host the tenth annual French Exchange program this February.  43 students from Saint Joseph school in Le Havre, France, will be visiting us and we are looking to host 10 of these students. We hope that you will consider allowing your son or daughter to take part in this exciting opportunity!  The student that hosts does NOT have to be taking French.  Also, all DeSales students will have the opportunity to attend our exchange this June to France whether you host or not.  It is a very affordable two-week program at a cost of approximately $2100. Please contact Mrs. Andrus or Ms. Costello if you are interested. You can also e-mail Mr. Dury at Watterson for a detailed description of the exchange at jldury@yahoo.com.

MOTHERS CLUB
The Mothers Club would like to remind everyone that we collect used uniforms.  We provide uniforms for families in need, and we hold a used uniform sale each summer.  If you have uniforms (jumpers, blouses, pants, shirts, sweaters, fleece, etc), please consider dropping them off at school. We are really in need of jumpers right now.  There is a donation box in the hallway near the main office.

The Mothers Club will be holding a bake sale on Wednesday, October 31 to raise money for our scholarship fund.  If anyone is willing to donate baked goods, please send them to Room 112 on Wednesday morning.  Cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and other goodies will be sold during lunch periods on that day.  If you send items in a container that needs to be returned to you, please attach a name and your child's homeroom number to the item.

Mark your calendars and join us at our next Mothers Club meeting on Wednesday, November, 14 at 6:30pm in the Franciscan Center!
SPIRITUAL REFLECTION

We must not allow our minds to flutter curiously around God's judgments; if we do so, we will be like months and burn our wings and perish in the sacred flame. These judgments of God are incomprehensible. We cannot know or plumb His motives. The inscrutable ways in which God brings us to perfection cannot be discerned or recognized by His creatures. Who can penetrate the meaning, the understanding or the purpose of God? "Who has been his counselor" so as to know His plans and their motives? Who has ever gone to Him and rendered any service to Him? [cf. Rom 11:33-35] On the contrary, is it not He Who goes before us with the blessings of His grace, so as to crown us with the happiness of His glory? All things are from God Who is their Creator; all things are by Him Who is their ruler; all things are in Him Who is their protector. (T.L.G. Book 4, Ch. 8; O. IV, p. 244)
