Hindu Temple of the Woodlands will celebrate Shravan 
shiva
Somavar on Jul 25th, Aug 1st, Aug 8th, Aug 15th, Aug 22nd, Aug 29th. 

Schedule:
Shiva   Abhishekam at 6:30 PM 
Devotional bhajans   
Shiva Arati at 8:00 PM. 

Devotees interested in sponsoring the Abhishekam are requested to bring prasadam, milk, fruits and flowers to the temple.

In the Hindu calendar Shravan month is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The whole month is considered auspicious to seek the blessing of Lord Shiva. Devotees keep various fasts during Shravan month to please Lord Shiva.

Samohik Varalakshmi Vrat Puja

Hindu Temple of Woodlands will celebrate  Shri Maha Laxmi
Varalakshmi Vrat Puja on Friday, Aug 12, 2016. 
The schedule is as follows.

6:30 pm-7:30pm: Varalakshmi Thali Puja. Chanting of Lakshmi Shlokas
All items will be provided by the temple.
7:30 pm - 8:00 pm- Arati & Archana
Special Karnataka Prasadam to be served.

Summer Drive by HTW Seniors
May - Mid July 2016 
 
 
The Senior Group of HTW Summer Drive benefiting Montgomery County Women's Center is now closed.  
Thank you for the wonderful support by the HTW community for the Clothing and Household drive that was held by our Senior group. It was a great success. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and we have together helped the community we reside in. The donation boxes currently placed in the temple lobby will be removed on  31st July.

Summer Classes; Jun 4 - Aug 27; 2016
       
HTW is offering numerous fun and learning based summer classes, for all age groups. 

Rangoli/Kolam, Creative Arts and Crafts, Bhajan and Choir Classes, Music Workshop, Photography, Computer Classes and Sanatan Dharma sessions. Some classes have an age requirement.

Annual Puja Services 2016

Namaste and warm wishes to you and yours for a blessed 2016! As we wrap up year 2015 and get ready to welcome the auspicious year of 2016, HTW humbly requests you to consider making a financial pledge to our growing temple and help build a stronger temple community in the coming years.
The temple board has announced the following service levels for the pledges. Hope you can avail the same for your yearly pledge to become an annual member of HTW for the year 2016:

  • A yearly pledge of $501 will bring you the benefit of participating in once-a-month abhishekam of your choice.
  • A yearly pledge at least $1016, will bring you the benefit of participating in one of the major annual events (shown in the below link, annual pooja program on the right side).
