Greetings! ,
Thank you very much to those of you who voted for Matthew's video in the "Sunshine by the Stars" Facebook contest. If you haven't already seen the good news on Facebook, Matthew's video with Joe Osborn won! As the winners of the contest sponsored by Louisiana Public Broadcasting and Louisiana Travel, Matthew and Joe were invited to the red-carpet premiere event in New Orleans at The Old U.S. Mint on Wed., Dec. 5th and were treated to an overnight stay at the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel. They performed their winning rendition of "You Are My Sunshine" followed by a rocking version of "Johnny B. Goode". Many notable Louisiana musicians were on hand, and Matthew especially enjoyed the opportunity to meet Harry Connick, Jr. and get his autograph!

About Matthew Davidson -
""Davidson's talent is no secret. A remarkable introduction to the 14-year-old, Matthew Davidson proves he's a force to be reckoned with on his debut release Step Up." ~Annie Reuter, Associate Music Producer at CBS Radio, Brooklyn, NY-September 2012
"There is no doubt in my mind, after listening to "Step Up", that Matthew Davidson is certainly the real deal, being equally proficient in both Pop/Rock and Blues genres. He is already great in what he does and the sky is the limit regardless of which musical direction he chooses to dominate. "Step Up" is a fantastic intro to a fantastic very talented rising star." ~John Vermilyea, "Blues Underground Network" September 2012
"Matthew Davidson is blessed with a God-given, born-in-the-bone, talent. His musicianship is far beyond his age. When I play with Matthew, it's like playing with a musician with many years of experience. Always a perfect gentleman, Matthew's personality shines through in every performance. He obviously loves what he is doing!" ~Joe Osborn, famed "Wrecking Crew" bassist who played on numerous hit records of the 60's - 70's with Glen Campbell, The Carpenters, The 5th Dimension, Simon and Garfunkel and many more
