CMS State Operations Manual Updates

 

CMS issued a notice dated 1/16/2015 regarding updates to the CAH State Operations Manual (SOM).   These updates are not yet in the online version, however are still effective as of 1/16/15. 

 

Updates of interest to Critical Access Hospital include updates to Appendix W (Survey Protocol, Regulations and Interpretive Guidelines for Critical Access Hospitals and Swing-Beds in CAHs) and Appendix T (Regulations and Interpretive Guidelines for Swing Beds in Hospitals).
