Notes from the Business Office
Need help paying for Hot Lunch, Enrichment fees and Kinder Tuition? 
CLICK HERE for an Economic Assistance Application ( click here para en Espanol).  Please forward completed applications to the ECCA Accounting Manager at linda.tierney@eagleschools.net. 

After School visits are now charged to Food Service accounts. 
For easier tracking, After School charges (along with Lunch charges) will be billed to each student's Food Services account.  This is great news because now you will have instant access to dates and charges, and balance remaining in each student account for After School and Lunches together - in the Food Service section of your Schoolpay.com account.
 
Please remember that payments for After School and Lunch are due in advance, or at the time of service.  Please make your payments in the Food Service section of your Schoolpay.com account. If you have any questions please contact Linda Tierney at linda.tierney@eagleschools.net.

VETERANS DAY
Save the Date!  
ECCA's Veteran's Day Assembly 
Friday, Nov. 11th  1:00 p.m.

Please consider joining us for our All-School Assembly at 1:00 p.m. and for the community event at Freedom Park later in the afternoon. 
We extend a special invitation to veterans and their families as well so that we may recognized their service to our country.

As part of our annual slide show, we are collecting information and photos of family members who are serving or have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.  
(We will automatically update if you've submitted items previously). 
Information to include (when known)
  • Service member's name, rank, stations (and relationship to student)
  • Years of active duty
  • Service specialties/jobs within the military
  • Military campaigns, awards & recognitions, participation in historical events
  • Photos from duty, of uniforms, awards, and online images to help create context for students

PTA/PARENT GUILD
PTA / Parent Guild Meeting Friday, Oct. 21st at 8:15 a.m. in the Hawk Room. Join us as we continue to work on New Family Connections, celebrating our teachers and staff and community dinners.  Bring your ideas and questions and join us.

BAND
 Band II will meet on Mondays after school. Because of the long weekend, Mr. G will host the first rehearsal on Thursday, October 13th (and visit the 4th grade classrooms for any interested in joining). Practices on Mondays beginning 10/24. The Band I schedule is still to be determined...stay tuned!
FOOD DRIVE
October 4 - November 4
ECCA's Annual Food Drive for the Salvation Army
 Earn a "Free Dress" day by bringing in 5 cans or more. 
Earn a pizza party for the grade with the most cans turned in.

ORGINAL WORKS
We are pleased to announce that the end of October we will be running the Original Works Program for Kindergarten through 6
th grade at Eagle County Charter Academy.
 
Through the Original Works program, each child will have the opportunity to have their very own artwork reproduced onto a variety of high quality products.  The products range from magnets, mugs and mouse pads, to ceramic tiles, t-shirts, note cards and nearly two dozen other products. 
 
Each child is eligible to participate in this wonderful program.   The resulting products make unique gifts that are practical for any season or occasion.  

Complete details on the program will be sent home shortly.  Proceeds from the program will be used to support the Art Program at ECCA.  For more information on Original Works please visit their website at www.originalworks.com.  You may also link to the Original Works site directly through the school website.

ECCA's beautifully expanded ART program is looking for someone to help with the organization and distribution of original works.  Mrs. Rooney and Mrs. Delonay would also love help with hanging art, which is an ongoing opportunity to get volunteer hours in! Please email either of them if you are available to help!

LUNCH NEWS


 MONDAY: Gondola Pizza will offer cheese and pepperoni pizza slices with milk and salad bar on Mondays.

TUES - THURS: Gourmet Cowboy will serve hot lunches on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays including milk and salad bar.  Please note: we are no longer able to offer the sack lunch option.

FRIDAY: Smiling Moose will offer a choice of entree with chips and milk on Fridays. Please choose from ONE of the following options: macaroni and cheese, cheese quesadilla, bagel w/cream cheese, chicken noodle soup, or a Caesar salad.

***Please note that Smiling Moose will not be delivered until 11:00 a.m. on Fridays.  Students leaving on field trips or enrichments before 11:00 a.m. will not be able to purchase a lunch. 

 If  your child brings a sack lunch from home, please make sure that any necessary plates and/or utensils are included.

Charter Garb bought from the store at school, taken from the "free bin" in the office and/or ordered through Land's End are the ONLY approved dress code items.
