BASKETBALL
***We are seeking additional volunteer coaches for our 7th and 8th grade boy's basketball teams. Season runs 10/10 - 12/3. Practices can be either in the morning or afternoon, depending on coaches preferences and gym availability. If you are interested, or know someone who would love to work with our team of boys, please contact Tanya Dixon.

Notes from the Business Office
Need help paying for Hot Lunch, Enrichment fees and Kinder Tuition? 
CLICK HERE for an Economic Assistance Application ( click here para en Espanol).  Please forward completed applications to the ECCA Accounting Manager at linda.tierney@eagleschools.net. 

After School visits are now charged to Food Service accounts. 
For easier tracking, After School charges (along with Lunch charges) will be billed to each student's Food Services account.  This is great news because now you will have instant access to dates and charges, and balance remaining in each student account for After School and Lunches together - in the Food Service section of your Schoolpay.com account.
 
Please remember that payments for After School and Lunch are due in advance, or at the time of service.  Please make your payments in the Food Service section of your Schoolpay.com account. If you have any questions please contact Linda Tierney at linda.tierney@eagleschools.net.

STRIKE UP THE BAND!!!!!!!!!!
ATTENTION BAND I AND II MEMBERS FROM LAST YEAR. I am looking forward to seeing all of you. It's time to "STRIKE UP THE BAND" We will have an
important meeting Monday, Septmeber 19th, after school in the music room. At this time we will discuss the schedule for our rehearsal  day and  time. PLEASE
bring your instrument and music. Can't  wait to see you!!! Mr. "G".
LUNCH NEWS
PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT CHANGE TO MENU:
Tuesday, 9/20 will now be Sloppy Joe's with Mac & Cheese



 MONDAY: Gondola Pizza will offer cheese and pepperoni pizza slices with milk and salad bar on Mondays.

TUES - THURS: Gourmet Cowboy will serve hot lunches on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays including milk and salad bar.  Please note: we are no longer able to offer the sack lunch option.

FRIDAY: Smiling Moose will offer a choice of entree with chips and milk on Fridays. Please choose from ONE of the following options: macaroni and cheese, cheese quesadilla, bagel w/cream cheese, chicken noodle soup, or a Caesar salad.

***Please note that Smiling Moose will not be delivered until 11:00 a.m. on Fridays.  Students leaving on field trips or enrichments before 11:00 a.m. will not be able to purchase a lunch. 

 If  your child brings a sack lunch from home, please make sure that any necessary plates and/or utensils are included.  
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Please don't forget to log in for your volunteer hours in the office or at home.  Your log in in the office is the last 4 digits of your cell!!

ECCA PTA
Join our PTA (formally Parent Guild ) first meeting - come in after drop off!

Friday, 9/16 in the Hawk Room at 8:15 a.m.

Any and all parents are welcome to join.  We would love to have at least one parent for each grade level attend.  The PTA is a committee that focuses on New Family Connections, Community Dinners, Celebrating Teachers & Staff, and the Parent Speaker Series.  This fall we will also help with getting information out about the election and the ballot measures that impact our school and school district.

Throughout the year, the store will be open at pick-up on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

For additional styles, shop www.landsend.com using ECCA school code 900058751 in the "school" section.  Items ordered via Land's End are shipped directly to you.
If you have questions, or are interested in getting volunteer hours in the Charter Garb store or in any capacity of Charter Garb, please email cherieandrob@comcast.net.

Charter Garb bought from the store at school, taken from the "free bin" in the office and/or ordered through Land's End are the ONLY approved dress code items.

ECCA has joined Smile.Amazon.com as an organization for support.  If you have an Amazon account and would like a percentage of your purchases to go to Eagle County Charter Academy, please create a Smile.Amazon.com account and select Eagle County Charter Academy as your supporting organization.  After creating your account the only thing you have to do going forward is make your Amazon purchases on Smile.Amazon.com and a percentage of your purchases will come to the school.  If you do not use the Smile.Amazon.com site your purchases will not be included in a contribution to ECCA.

Box Tops Ice Cream Party Contest
The grade level that turns in the most box tops by September 30th will win an ice cream party!  Please make sure the box tops have not expired (expired ones will not count in the contest) and that you mark your envelope or bag with your grade level!  Make sure to check your school supplies and happy box tops collecting.

Do you have your ECCA Sticker yet? Stickers are just $5. They will be sold on Thursday's after school. You must get out of your car- they can't be sold to students in cars.

If you have swimmers- contact the Avon Rec Center
to find out about their new Swim Team program. Taking over the Hurricanes team, this new program looks to be more affordable. 

Is your daughter interested in becoming a girl scout? Attend a recruiting event on September 15th at 5:30 @ The Vail Library. Click here for details. 

Bots for Boys is coming to our school! Do you have a 3rd-5th grade boy interested in building? The curriculum is by lego and is a great way for boys to interact. Parent coordinators are needed. Click here for more information.
