Heating Safety
We all know that winter cold can be dangerous, especially during the record-breaking polar temperatures many parts of the nation are experiencing this year. But turning up the heat to combat the chill can also be a fire risk if heating equipment is not properly used.
Half of home heating fires are reported during the months of December, January, and February. Take a few minutes to read the National Fire Prevention Association's heating tip sheet and make sure your home is safe this winter. With a few simple safety tips and precautions you can prevent most heating fires from happening.
