Friday Night Tasting Lineup

2012 Balnea Rueda Verdejo

Balnea's vineyards are located in La Seca, in the south of Valladolid, (Spain), on a high altitude 2,400 foot plateau, where the soil's low fertility and scarcity of rain combine to produce low yields but highly concentrated grapes. A smooth, friendly style of Verdejo with green fruit aromas and flavors highlighted by apple and melon. Toss in some lime, peach, minerality, nice acidity and a smooth finish. Balnea makes only Estate wine. At 6 Ton/ Ha the yields are below the usual in the appellation.

Our Price: 11.57

2011 Terra Rosa Malbec

Our ancient vineyards lie high on the slopes of the Andes in the Luján and Valle de Uco regions of Mendoza and produce deep and dark, spicy and aromatic wines that are full with ripe, juicy, black fruit flavors, and inviting, complex textures. SUSTAINABLY FARMED. Dark violet, full-bodied wine w/notes of dark plum + smoke.

Our Price: 14.57

2011 Tierra Divina Malbec

Deep in the heart of the Valle de Uco lie two remarkable vineyards. Both sustain ancient and low-yielding vines on the high, rocky plains of the Andes, far south in Mendoza. One yields black fruit of great concentration and depth; the other is more graceful and supple. Both are SUSTAINABLY FARMED to ensure purity of aroma and intensity of flavor. Together they create Tierra Divina, a delicious , exotic, and deeply complex Malbec. Very dark; deeply fruited with ripe, dense plum and cassis fruit; complex and fragrant and exotic, with a beautiful long finish.

Our Price: 17.57

2011 La Ardilla Moscato de Valencia

"The Squirrel" - We'll finish with a lightly fizzy, sweet white wine that is somewhat reminiscent of a Moscato d'Asti.  This delightful little wine is just simply delicious and would make a great finishing wine for a dinner party.
