Greetings!

Tomorrow we will showcase a few wines from the Bordeaux region of France.  This is one of the most renowned growing areas in the world, and these are great prices to boot!  We will taste a white, two reds, and a semi-sweet white as well.  More notes below.  See you there!

2011 Château Saint Lafayette Bordeaux

Juicy, clean, light. Fresh & grapefruity palate, more apple on the nose. Focused bouquet goes from citrus to more tropical fruit like lychee & mango. Crisp acidity.  Light bitterness of grapefruit pith & mineral makes it finish very clean and fresh. Lengthy, fruit filled finish.

2010 Château La Petite Borie Bordeaux

Rounder, softer, lighter style. 60 Merlot, 20 Cabernet Sauvignon, 20 Cabernet Franc. Very dry. Youthful baked cherry fruit, some dried floral action - roses. Nice spice. Grip, aged in stainless with oak staves. Nice at the price! Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats for twelve months before bottling. Balanced red fruit finish.

Our Price: 13.57
