Pares Balta Cava NV
Pares Balta Cava Brut is a delightful sparkling wine from the Penedes region in the northeast of Spain, just west of Barcelona. This Cava is a blend of 58% Parellada, 25% Macabeo and 17% Xarel.lo. Parellada dominates the blend and contributes to the fresh floral notes, the Macabeo brings the fruit and the Xarel.lo the body to the blend.

2011 Pares Balta Blanc de Pacs
Parellada - Xarell-lo - Macabeo - Two brothers marry two winemakers - All organic, zippy, clean. 5000 acre national forest. It offers an extremely crisp and refreshing approach to a complete white wine. A plentiful amount of orchard fruit, apple and pear predominantly, is the backbone of this crisp dry white.

2012 Pares Balta Rosé de Pacs
16 Cab, 48 Merlot, 36 Syrah - Grip, some tasty goodness. Fresh. 13%. Some earth, juicy strawberry acid. High elevation. The Pares Balta Rose is delicate on the nose with notes of red fruit like raspberry and cherry. Light and fresh in the mouth, the wine is balanced and juicy.

2009 Pares Balta Mas Petite
16 Garnacha, 84 Cab - 13.5% - Pacs = Village.
Cherry. Mas Petit = Catalonian for farmhouse. Fresh, soft, juicy acid. Nice Garnacha, not too fat. Inviting aromas of ripe raspberry and cherry are followed by a round, fruit-forward palate offering smooth tannins and balanced acidity. A subtle touch of earth appears on the finish.

2008 Pares Balta Mas Elena
47 Merlot, 18 Cab Franc, 45 Cab - After Marie Elena - Head Winemaker. Bordeaux varietals, juicy, focused, elegant. Lengthy. Tannins come on at finish. Its notes of red fruit are toned down with spicy aromas, liquorice touches and light hints of toasted and cocoa. Very nice nose. Wine that coats the mouth with fresh and fleshy feelings. Silky mid palate, full of creaminess. Polished tannins and a very good finish.
