2011 Gassier Cercius White
Straw yellow with soft green highlights. Very aromatic, predominantly aromas of citrus, flowers, and flint. Medium bodied and crisp, pairs well with roasted monkfish, paprika grilled game hen, and goat cheeses. Blend: 70% Grenache Blanc and 30% Sauvignon Blanc. A fantastic value from one of the more dynamic, quality-oriented producers in the Rhone region. Near the ancient city of Nimes, the legendary mistral winds of Provence -- "Cercius" in Latin -- sweep over the vineyards and out to the Mediterranean Sea. These cool the grapes and help to maintain it's liveliness-- further aided by vinification in concrete tanks.

2010 Colette Regnie
(Organic) 100% Gamay (old vines) Wine Authorities - "Firm black cherry / lip-smacking cranberry / flinty elegance. Fresh and juicy, yet broad-shouldered and with a deliciously serious (and seriously delicious) structure, this Régnié from Jacky and Evelyne Gauthier (presumably no relation to the singer) embodies the contradiction between guzzable lightness and admirable complexity shared by many of the best wines from Beaujolais. Serving Suggestion: Smoked rabbit loin in a dried cherry reduction with chopped saucisson. Tartin of Morels with pearl onion and Comté."

2009 St. Roche Lafarge Chimeres
This 30 hectare property is situated near Maury, in the Agly valley. Using modern winemaking techniques, winemaker Jean-Michel Lafarge captures the flavor and concentrated structure of the fruit produced by old, low yielding vines. Chimères is a French word meaning "utopic dream". This wine is deep red in color with a perfumed black and red berry bouquet. The palate is juicy and concentrated, with the spiced strawberry fruit of old Grenache, berries and a touch of vanilla which gives an appealing, mellow character to the wine, alongside the ripe tannins and supporting firm acidity on the finish.
