Book Signing at Book Warehouse
West Virginia writer, Luther D. Baker, will be signing his new book
The Cranberry Wilderness Story at Book Warehouse at the Flatwoods Factory Outlet Stores on Saturday, December 21st from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The book is a good news environmental story that traces the history of this wilderness through its creation, destruction and resurrection as the largest national wilderness area east of the Mississippi.
This 11" x 9" hard back contains 369 pages and includes over 400 photographs, most in large format size. Included are 170 photographs of the actual timbering of the virgin forest by Cherry River Boom and Lumber Company from 1924-1930. Four local conservationists; Calvin Price, Ed Buck, Beecher Hinkle, and Roy Moose are featured in the book as well.
