Hello!
May is here and so are the showers! Maybe that will help push back the high heat of summer for a little while longer. There has been a lot going on in Braxton County and there will be plenty more this month and this summer.
In this issue you'll find details of new construction on the Elk River Water Trail, new offers and sales going on through out the county and what to expect in the coming month.
Thanks so much for reading and have a fantastic day!

Work continues on the Elk River Water Trail
April was a month full of work on the Elk River Water Trail. The bulk of the work has been on getting information kiosks in the ground at all of our newly confirmed locations in Braxton County. We installed kiosks at four sites in Braxton. The site locations we've been working on include the Sutton Dam, Cafe Cimino in Sutton, the Gassaway Dairy Queen, and the Frametown Bridge. The Elk River Water Trail Group is working on getting more official sites for the water trail in Braxton County as well as Clay County.

Amanda Moore, Executive Director of the Clay County Business Development Authority
Michael Shamblin, WVU Extension Agent for Clay County
