Focus On The Recovery

Accidents happen and when they do we're here to focus on the recovery for you!

This Freightliner tractor was transporting a container loaded with furniture in the early morning. He took the turn onto the entrance ramp to the highway a bit too fast and rolled the truck into the guard rail. The driver was taken to the hospital. We went to work using incident management techniques to clear the roadway in advance of the morning rush. The unit was up-righted using our two rotator tow trucks and a 30 ton integrated wrecker. Our emergency response van and hazmat trailer were also on scene. Once the unit was removed from the ramp we utilized our Bobcat sweeper to clean up the roadway. Kudos to the NTS team for a job well done!

Help For The Holiday
Everyone wants a safe and happy Thanksgiving for themselves,
their family and guests. This Thanksgiving we want to make sure
you and your loved ones have a happy and stress free Turkey Day.
Below are some great tips to help you out:

-Plan your menu. Don't forget to account for the number of guests that will be eating.
Better to have a little more than not enough.
-Make out your grocery list. You don't want to be running to the store at the last minute!
-Prepare fun activities to keep the kiddos occupied.
-Decorate the house early. Don't wait until the day before or day of.
-If you are having overnights guests, set up spare rooms a few days in advance.
-Three-Four days before, remove the turkey from the freezer to the refrigerator to thaw.
Consider that every 5 pounds of turkey will require 24 hours of thaw time.
-Two days before start prepping any side dishes or desserts that can be made in
 advance.
-Get help with the dishes!
-Be thankful & remember to enjoy time with your loved ones.

Training Our Professional Operators

Tommy, Kevin and Anthony participated in a WreckMaster training and certification class last month that focused on successfully moving and recovering vehicles from soft surfaces such as muddy ditches and embankments with grades. There was a great deal of focus on proper chaining and strapping of a casualty which you can see from the pictures below.
WreckMaster offers a comprehensive training program focused on Incident Management and quick highway clearance. Since 1991 WreckMaster has focused it's efforts on providing the towing and recovery operator with the skills required to make them safe efficient and effective. Each WreckMaster training school consists of at least two days of towing and recovery training.

Each morning is spent in the class room discussing theory, and each afternoon is spent in the field dealing with real-life situations. Participating in training like this is what keeps our operators up to date with newest in recovery techniques and what sets our company apart from many of the others out there.
