Too Fast!!

This was a bad day for a driver with a loaded tractor trailer that took a turn too fast and ended up on his side. The truck had a load of vegetables that shifted as he came around the curve. We were dispatched to the scene to handle the recovery in the late afternoon. The entire trailer was unloaded and the cargo was re-palletized by our men so that the recovery could begin. The health department was on the scene and inspected the product as we unloaded it. We brought in both a refrigerated trailer for the good product and a dumpster for the product that could not be salvaged. Our portable lighting was staged so we could continue to work safely once the sun went down. We utilized our two rotator tow trucks to upright the truck. It was a great team effort!

Quote of the Month

Got Stuck?

This company drove to the rear of a home to load the truck with the home owners goods. While parked the truck sunk in the mud. We were called in to winch the truck out but as you can see from the pictures it was a tight spot. We snatched off a big tree to pull the truck backward enough until we could access the front of the truck. We then winched the truck the remainder of the way out of the backyard and onto solid ground. Great job Tommy!

Diabetes - Are You At Risk?

An estimated 6 million of those living with type 2 diabetes don't even know they have it.

What you don't know about diabetes can kill you.  In fact, diabetes is often referred to as the "silent killer" because symptoms are easy to write off.

Here are the top 10 "silent" symptoms of diabetes:

- Increased urination and excessive thirst
Excessive thirst is the result of your body trying to make up for the fluids lost through urination.
- Increased Hunger
If your appetite has increased and you're still losing weight, alarm bells should be blaring.
- Crabbiness and fatigue
Blood sugar spikes and constant hunger can make us cranky and getting up multiple times a night to urinate interrupts our sleep cycle.
- Changes in skin
People with diabetes often have itchy, dry or pale skin or discolored patches around the neck or armpit area.
- Slow healing
Diabetes 2 often slows the healing of infections, cuts and bruises.
- Yeast Infections
Fungi and bacteria both thrive in sugar-rich environments
- Blurred vision
Distorted vision or floaters may be a sign of high blood sugar levels.
- Tingling or numbness
Tingling and/or numbness accompanied by pain or swelling may be signs that your nerves may be damaged by diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes, if caught early, is easy to control with diet, exercise or medication so see your doctor if you have some of these signs.
