Nick Testa Named GSTA Towman of the Year
|
|
East Brunswick, NJ -
John Glass, President of the Garden State Towman's Association, honored Nick Testa, President of Nick's Towing Service, Inc, Rutherford, NJ with the GSTA Towman of the Year award for outstanding dedication to the towing industry. This special award has only been bestowed on seven towers over the past 25 years. The ceremony was held on February 25, 2014 at the NJ Motor Truck Association in East Brunswick, NJ. Nick's family and many long time friends in the industry were in attendance.
Here is John Glass's speech;
"A Gentleman. Fair. Compassionate. Innovative. Those are the words used to describe the recipient of this year's Towman of the Year award.
He built his business from the ground up and grew it to the operation it is today with over 35 employees and trucks.
He holds himself and his employees to a very high standard. His facility and trucks are well maintained, his drivers are uniformed and trained. He goes out of his way for his customers, employees, and fellow towers. He is always on the forefront of technology. He runs his business with a caring sense of compassion. Why you ask? Because he believes to his core that towers do not get respect as an industry and he leads the way to be a professional.
He has been a steadfast and loyal member and friend of the GSTA for many years. He has gone to great lengths to do what he can for the betterment of the towing industry through the association. Most recently, Nick worked with the GSTA board to set up and attend a meeting with Senator Paul Sarlo to discuss the Predatory Towing Act-a meeting that was instrumental in helping to overturn the Act-a major feat for the GSTA and a benefit to every tower in the State. He was also responsible for setting up and attending a meeting with GSTA and Assemblyman Neil Cohen who served as Chair of the Financial Institution and Insurance Committee.
He is the father of the GSTA's first and only female president to date.
