Welcome to Pharmacy Month   

 

October is Pharmacy Month!  National CooperativeRx is celebrating pharmacy month with a lot of great information regarding drug safety for both you and your participants. 

 

Have you ever been concerned with how your drugs will interact with one another?  Over-the-counter drugs, herbals, and supplements can all change how effective a prescription drug is.  Taking multiple drugs can also lead to unwanted side effects.

HealthDay.  The CDC is recommending that all pregnant women receive the whooping cough vaccine.  Pregnant women are able to pass some immunity onto their unborn children, and further pass along some immunity through breast milk.  Infants are unable to receive the vaccine until they're two months old, and the disease can be fatal.
