From Our Family To Yours:

As we embrace the so called "Re-Birth" of Mother Earth on 12-12-12, let us all come together as one and celebrate this new awakening. Let us pray for peace on our planet, for ALL mankind.

May peace rule your heart; may love guide you to rise above your challenges; and, may light shine on you with the promise of new and brighter beginnings.

On this day of alignment, let us breathe in the joy of life and let go of all that doesn't serve our universe.

Thank you Mother Earth for all the abundance you have given us, may we be wise enough to appreciate all that is and it is not.

The Divine Grapevine

By Dr. Daniel Sadigh

Growth happens in every moment of life. As the roots of a grapevine tree dig in and expand in to the hard grounds beneath them, its branches grow stronger and healthier. Every drop of water that is soaked into earth nurtures sustenance and enriches the vine stalk with love. Every ray of sun that warms up the cold soil creates the fuel of passion for growth.  A caring and patient gardener awaits the stages of growth and harvests the products of the grapevine at its different stages of maturity.  Biblical and Celtic references symbolically praise the grapevine for fertility, continuity, opportunity, regeneration, connectivity, and abundance.  That is because love, nurturance and passion are the water, the sun and the soil for human growth, while divinity is the caregiver's careful and patient act of pruning.

Environment is vital to healthy growth, but the attitude of "going with the flow" or "growing where you are planted" is a message that the grapevine can bring us. When we are able to observe, stay relaxed, adapt to our environment, and consider responsible choices in every given situation, then we can be in a flowing state of mind that gives us the most rewarding outcome. The reliance and connection with our resources depends on our ability to form roots in that environment. As we feel grounded and are present to what our environment provides for us, we will be able to make meaningful and nurturing connections. Our healthy relationships, especially with our care giving "gardeners," facilitate security, adaptation, development, and prosperous survival.

What sets the grapevine apart from other plants is the multitude of uses and benefits it provides. The grapevine leaves are used to wrap up other nutrients, just like human's hands that provide food for others. The young sour grapes are used to enhance food flavors, just like human's zest for progress that brings excitement to our daily activities.  The juice of the young grapes is an acidic condiment with numerous medical benefits, just like the extracts of our thoughts that bring about scientific progress.

The sweet and ripened grapes come in different colors, shapes and sizes, just like the human race. Each kind has a different flavor and aroma that makes it unique and special in its own way. The beauty and liveliness of a bunch of grapes hanging on a vine resembles the elegance, dignity and resilience of human nature in its essence. Filled with the nurturing nectar of love, the mouthwatering abundance of passion, and the divine tranquility of continuous care every human being is a priceless product of water, soil and sun. Without any of them our extinction is guaranteed.

 As the caring gardeners of our own grapevine gardens we are all responsible to preserve, protect, cleanse, and trim our physical body while striving to increase the productiveness of our minds. A healthy mind-body connection is the best container for any spiritual aspiration. Every life can be compared to the grapevine's growth and fruitfulness. When we take care of our self and nurture our mind, body, and spirit, a delicate mixture with distinct "tastes" and "aromas" is fermented.  Maturity and consistent transformation come with perseverance and survivability. Raisins are grapes that are gracefully aged under the sun. They not only fulfill our taste, they also can make the most intoxicating alchemy. In the hands of a well-seasoned person every grape can transform in to a precious drop of spirit. Aging and patience are the most trusted factors in creating lasting joy.

Growth results in aging and with consistent awareness we can become joyful like old wine. As a live organism, an unopened bottle of wine holds the entire information of its essence. The seed, the land, and the year of origin are uniquely identifying the care of the gardener and the compassion of the wine maker. Let's celebrate age as another new year is arriving. Let's continue to care for our mind-body to be the bottle that holds the valuable wine of our growth.  Let's respect the aging spirits of our elders regardless of the kind of grapes they have been. Let's get drunk in joy of life when we share our spirits with others. Let's be love, nurturance, and passion.

It's a New Beginning
Time to Choose The Possibilities

Choices

Some people sit - some people try;
Some people laugh - so
me people cry;
Some people will - some people won't;
Some people do - some people don't.
Some people believe and develop a plan;
Some people doubt - never think that they can;
Some people face hurdles and give it their best;
Some people back down when faced with a test.
Some people complain of their miserable lot;
Some people are thankful for all that they've got;
And when it's all over - when it comes to an end -
Some people lose out and some people win.
We all have a choice - we all have a say;
We are spectators in life or we get in and play;
Whichever we choose - how we handle life's game;
The choices are ours - no one else is to blame.

Possibilities

When your dreams start to seem so impossible,
When roadblocks are all you can see -
Look beyond all the problems that face you
And focus on POSSIBILITIES.
Don't limit your thoughts to the present
Or solutions you have learned from the past;
Remember to keep looking forward -
You may find the answer at last.
It is YOU who determines your future -
How your journey through tomorrow will be;
To fill all your days with adventure,
Dare to see what no one else dares to see.
So never let obstacles stop you -
Or keep you from doing your part;
Have faith that your dreams are all possible
If you truly believe in your heart.
