Thank you for helping us impact 39,300 students in 2013!

Yes, you read that right 39,300 students were impacted by your investment through the Foundation last year.

Because the Foundation invests in emergent one time needs as well as sustainable items the dollars we put to work this year are likely to

impact more than 103,523 students.

Given our history and the investments we have made in the last 18 years, we know with confidence that students are coming in to contact with Foundation funded programs an average of 8 times during their school career. Advanced students and struggling learners

coming into contact with programs and equipment as many as 14 times. We can say with confidence that we are making an impact on

students, every day.

In 2012-2013 we increased our participation and built our legacy.

Our board of directors grew to 18 members . Ourboard is a diverse representation of the Northshore Community with Parents,

Alumni PTA Council members, Business leaders and community volunteers all coming together to support our students.

28 schools now have Foundation Ambassadors in place, connecting us to local schools and helping us spread the word about what the

Foundation is doing at each school, and planting the potential of what increased participation could mean for our students.

Our new web page and increased press coveragehave resulted in growing support from our community. Not only do we now have over 500 friends on Facebook, we have seen a 39% increase in givers. Coupled with an 84% retention rate, we are proud to report that we

have more supporters than ever before in our history.

As we have become more intentional about being in alignment with School board goals, we are happy to report that we are currently supporting 21 of the 28 school board performance measures. This in addition to our continual efforts to support enrichment and enhancement activities demonstrates our commitment to offering a wide range of support to help all students.

One of the most exciting things of 2013 was a decision by the board to begin an operating endowment to ensure the sustainability of the

Foundation. Current board members have contributed more than $30,000 to date. These dollars, coupled with the reinvestment of $65,000 from our reserves, in honor of the dozens of investors that made Legacy donations in 2005-06, our account is now at $95,000!

You can read more about get involved with this effort on the last page of this report. We are hopeful that over the next years people will both

designate the schools foundation as a source of birthday and celebration gifts, and consider us in their personal legacy planning.

In conclusion, 2014 will be an important benchmark in the Foundation's history. At the year-end wrap up to the school board I reported that the Foundation has contributed $956,812 to

the students of Northshore since our inception in 1995. Now 18 years later, we anticipating crossing the million dollar mark for our overall

contribution.

Stay tuned for this exciting news and get ready to celebrate with us.

Thank you so much for your continued involvement with the Foundation, and I hope you know what an impact you have on student success, every day.

Thank you,
