As 2012 drew to a close, the Northshore Schools Foundation had ample reason to reflect on a wonderful year of giving.

 

Through the generosity of our donors and partners like you, grants totaling $125,000 were made to the Northshore School District in 2012 doubling our 2011 efforts.

 

We are extremely grateful for your support in 2012 and look forward to working with you in 2013 to expand the reach of our mission:

to support academic success and excellence 

for all Northshore students,in alignment

 with district priorities.

 

• The Foundation was able to fund 18 Innovative Classroom Grants of up to $1,000 each in schools throughout the district.
• We assisted 15 teachers working toward National Board Certification with scholarships for mentoring classes.
• We were also able to fund nine district wide grants, for a total of $92,000 providing grants in each of our identified priority areas: Advanced and Disadvantaged Learners, Teacher Excellence, Educational Enhancement in the areas of Health, Fitness, Art & Music, Literacy and STEM. (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math).

As we enter 2013, our many volunteers are hard at work to bring us a spectacular 10th Anniversary "Light a Fire for Learning Luncheon" on March 28. We look forward to seeing you at the Luncheon and to working with you to support excellence in education throughout the Northshore School District.
