Executive Director
Greetings Help One Child Champions,

We appreciate your faithful partnership to support at-risk children and their families, and to inspire and equip God's people to reflect His heart for children in need!

I am pleased to introduce you to our two new staff members:

  • Damali Tillman, Church Liaison. Damali comes to us from Unity Care Group and the DFCS of Santa Clara County. She has a wealth of experience as a social worker and a passion for connecting families in need with the local church. She will be reaching out to churches throughout our region to make sure they are aware of our programs and services, and have a supply of our informational cards. Please help her make sure that the ministry of Help One Child is visible at your church!
  • Melanie Hohengasser, Administrative Assistant Melanie is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology. She has a desire to help children at risk, so supporting the staff and the families we serve through the ministry's many programs and services is exciting for her! Be sure and contact Melanie regarding donations of goods and if you would be willing to contribute a gift to a child at risk this Christmas Season through our Giving Tree program.

Please join me in welcoming Damali and Melanie to the team!

  NOVEMBER IS NATIONAL ADOPTION MONTH
November 3rd, Orphan Sunday

November 23rd, National Adoption Day

At this time, it is especially important to remind our fellow believers that there are children in our own communities who need the loving touch of the Father. Would you please join us in raising awareness this month in particular?

  • Invite your congregation to pray for children who are at risk during your weekly services in November.
  • Post our announcement (listed below) in your church bulletin, email news, on your website.
  • Hand out Help One Child informational cards at your church.
  • Host a table at your church services and events during November to share more about Help One Child and how people can reach out and help at-risk children and their families.

Please encourage the following Announcement

in your Church Bulletin, Email News, and Website:

Orphan Sunday, November 3rd

Help One Child invites you to join us as we raise awareness during the month of November about the urgent needs of at-risk children within our own communities and encourage all citizens to get involved in some way. Here's how you can make a difference and share God's love with children who are at risk:

  • Pray - Join us as we lift the children, families and this ministry to the Lord
  • Become a foster or adoptive family, or join the Safe Families for Children movement
  • Mentor and tutor a teen within a foster or adoptive family
  • Employ a young adult from a foster or adoptive family
  • Donate items through Help One Child
  • Volunteer with Help One Child

Please open your heart to reach out to a child in need, right in your own community. Contact damali@helponechild.org or call 650-917-1210.

We are pleased to introduce a new ministry
