Greetings from the Memphis Tennis Association!  We hope that you have enjoyed the 2012 Leagues here in Memphis.  We strive to keep you informed and updated on all news as it relates to USTA local leagues and tournaments. So as we head into the holiday season, we wish you rest and happiness.  Stay tuned to upcoming newsletters for the latest information on all the changes in USTA leagues that 2013 will bring.
2013 NTRP Ratings

As we all know, the new NTRP ratings will be available very soon.  Regardless of when they finally arrive, you can rest assurred that we will have them available on our website as soon as they are released.  So until then, just sit back, eat some turkey, and enjoy the calm before the storm!

Update Your Contact Information!

Deadline - December 1st


Dec 1st is the deadline to submit any contact information changes to us to be included in the new 2013 MTA directory.  These directories will be available in mid January at the Captain's meetings.

PLEASE CONSIDER updating your info by adding your email address.  More and more people are requesting this as a means of contact, but we need your email address and permission in order to include it the directory.

2.5 Segar Team!

Segar's 2.5 women's USTA Adult League team placed 3rd in the National Championships in Tucson, AZ in September of 2012.  Great job Memphis & congratulations on a successful season!

2013 USTA Spring League 18+ & 40+  

With the new USTA League restructuring beginning in 2013, there have been many questions surrounding scheduling.  The local league coordinator has put together a tentative "weekday" scheduling plan and is provided below for your convenience.

  

PLEASE NOTE:   This information is tentative and subject to change and is provided now to give players an idea of how the new league restructuring will affect scheduling for all levels

 

Weekend Teams:

18+ and 40+ will be on Saturdays and Sundays.with largest brackets played on Saturdays and the rest on Sundays

55+ Teams:

Play will be on Saturday and Sunday once the weekends open up, after 18 and 40 start playoffs or finish up.  State for 55+ is not until September so it will start later than 18 and 40.  Play for 55+ will be finished by mid June, if not sooner

Sunday, 1/13 at 2pm at WellWorx for 18/40 & over weekend captains

Sunday, 1/13 at 4pm at WellWorx for 55 & over captains 

Tuesday, 1/15 at 11am at WellWorx for weekday captains.

 

Remember Captains, these meeting are where you also pick up your new MTA Directories for your players!

The tournament was held Oct 29-Nov 4 at Rhodes Tennis Complex, and hosted 189 players!
