Story of the Week

President's Perspective

Greetings!

"Hi! Just wanted to say THANK YOU to all who came and supported La Habra High School's Campus Light Club this week...and to those who have been praying for us and encouraging us! You guys are wonderful!"

Big Wave Dave from radio program 95.9 The Fish kicks off La Habra's rally week outside during lunch at the Senior Park on campus.

Sarah Pfaff, La Habra's Campus Light Club President, shared a heartfelt thank you on the CSP facebook page on Thursday afternoon. Reflecting on her experience and observations, Sarah shares her perspective:

"We heard from Big Wave Dave on Monday, gave out 200 slices of pizza and 200 bibles on Tuesday, heard wonderful testimonies from Biola athletes, and had about 70 people show up to hear the gospel message today at lunch (a lot of which weren't from our club!) This week has been a huge success and we give all of the glory to God! From what we received on the response cards, many recommitted their lives to Christ and 3 people accepted Him into their hearts for the first time! I know throughout the week I have heard many other stories of how God has been at work. Praise Him praise him praise him! And much love goes to you guys, who really have been a huge help in making this happen!"

Last week we shared that Santiago High School hosted multiple rallies and 6 students accepted Christ at the Gospel Rally. Angie Gonzalez, Santiago's Bible Club President, shares about her experience. "What I saw God do while hosting the rallies [at Santiago] is bring new people to the rallies, of all kinds, even the ones where you can least expect them to be there. It's amazing how God works."

Reflecting on the highlights and challenges of the week, Angie shares,

"My favorite part was on Wednesday where some student raised their hands to accept Jesus in their heart! I just wanted to cry of joy...It was a glorious moment when I saw students come to Christ! You don't get to see that often. I know we will reach this generation for Christ, and we are, in Jesus' name. And not only do we believe it but were seeing it with our own eyes!

"The way I was challenged as a leader was that I had to be on top of things.. go to administration and talk to them and see if they would agree with us or not.. but through out all of this I knew God was right in front of us! Making the way to make this happen. Not only did we feel God but we saw his Powerful Hand moving through out these events."

On behalf of La Habra, Santiago, Esteban Torres, La Serna, Bellflower, Gahr, and Roosevelt High School, we'd like to say thank you for your prayers this past week. Sarah and Angie are just two Bible Club Presidents out of dozens who are growing in leadership, courage, and faith this semester.

Pray for the clubs who are now following up with new believers, welcoming new faces into their club meetings, and finishing up with rallies. Pray that the Lord would continue to move in the lives of those who heard the Gospel for the first time.

We look forward to sharing more stories and videos of these events in the near future. Thanks again for your prayers during this rally season.
