Mistakes are Valuable
One of the most common challenges to growing your business is fear. Many people become frozen in place when they have to make a decision or change a policy. They are so afraid that they will make a mistake that the take no action at all. This fear is misplaced and can be crippling for your business, or your life.
There is no reason to fear mistakes. If you have a good plan; one that you have seriously considered from all angles and researched thoroughly, there is no reason to be afraid. Worrying about what can go wrong is a waste of energy. This negativity can poison your whole life, business or personal.
Mistakes are golden opportunities. Thomas A. Edison said about the light bulb,"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." This should be your philosophy, too. Analyzing results and learning from them is very valuable
information. Each action that you take, whether successful or not, is a chance for you to learn something new.
Do keep in mind that whatever you are trying has to be closely monitored so that you can catch any problems before they do too much damage. Starting a project and then letting it run itself is what can get you into trouble. Have a list of incremental measurements that you can use to keep your project on track.
Embrace all this new information you have learned from experience and use it to grow in a positive direction. Experience is the greatest educator there is.
