Be Ahead of the Game and Leave the Others Lagging Behind!
|
Most people get really enthusiastic about setting New Year Resolutions, but once they are back into the normal day to day routine after the elation of Christmas and New Year their resolve dwindles.
Well here are five ways of beating that so that you get the results you want in 2016.
1. Stop wasting time
If you've decided that you want to make a change, whatever that change may be - do it now! Don't waste the next few days thinking you'll do it next week, next month etc because this is valuable time that you're never going to get back. If the resolve is to lose weight and keep it off then hit that return button and book an appointment with me to find out how.
2. Habits take 21 days to form
After doing some research we've learnt that overall, most habits take 21 days to form. This means that if you're looking to make a change in the New Year then you need to start, at the latest, by 10th January in order to ensure that you are actually sticking to your resolution come February. 3. You'll be ahead of everyone else
Set a date for when you are going to actively start working towards your goal to make a change in 2016, then ensure you start on that date. If you need to do some research towards it, such as making an appointment to come and see me and find out more about the LighterLife Programmes, then get it booked in now. By doing this you'll ensure that you're way ahead of the game and have made some positive progress unlike all those who are still procrastinating about it and lagging behind. Think how smug you'll feel when you've shed your first stone by the end of January and they are just starting.
4. You're more productive when you're happy
Let's face it, everyone is happy around the festive period which naturally means they're more relaxed and work better. It's a lot harder trying to motivate yourself post Christmas/New Year when you're feeling guilty about overindulging in cake and spending lots of money, or simply thinking about the fact that your next holiday may be a long way away. So start a weight loss Programme that gives you swift results (average weight loss of a stone a month) to keep yourself motivated. 5. It's hard to get into the swing of things after a break
Whether it's New Year or a mid-year holiday, it's always hard trying to get back into things when you come back to work. There's usually an overflowing inbox and a to-do list as long as your arm and because of this, you might be so bogged down, you may not even get a chance to think about anything new for quite some time, so get that focus now.
