I've just had some great news - three of my clients have been selected to take part in LighterLife National Advertising over the next few months.  One is in line to be featured in the LighterLife magazine (free copies available to anyone who would like one from me, just pop in when passing), one is going to become a Social Media star and the other to feature in both the National and Local Press.  How fantastic is that?  I've posted pictures of all three in this newsletter together with their "Before" pictures so you can see just how fabulous their success has been.  Very well deserved.

 

I should add that I have written permission from all three to do this.  I would never promote anyone's image or story without their express permission, and indeed, a lot of successful clients prefer to be very private about their selected method of weight loss and weight maintaining, and that is fine, but I do love it when others are prepared to shout it from the rooftops - it's so inspiring for others.

 

Also, on another departure from the norm, client Matthew Holmes has posted pictures on Facebook (see LighterLife Loughborough) of himself "mid-journey".  He has been on LighterLife Total for just 5.5 weeks and already looks amazing.

 

Now is the time when a lot of new clients join us to lose weight for the Christmas period (scary I know, but it's only 12 weeks away), but as one wise Life Member client once said "LighterLife is not just for Christmas!".  The difference with the LighterLife way is that we help you understand your relationship with food, how it affects your mood, and how to change the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that lead to over-eating.  By doing that you not only lose the weight but become a different, happier, person around food and keep the weight off.

#7 DAYS - DID YOU TAKE PART?

 

Last week I invited my Twitter followers to take part in a #7 Days challenge to see just how much they actually do spend on food and drink in a week.  For seven days they were invited to write down every single penny they spent on food and drink in one week (7 days) and see what it came to.

Often, if someone asks you what you spend on food, you will think purely of the weekly Supermarket shop, but it rarely ends there.  There are the takeaway coffees (average £2.70), the bought lunches (anything from £1.70 to £6.00 on average), the week day takeaways because you are just too tired to cook anything (average £10-15 a time), Saturday night out (£30-40), Sunday lunch in the pub (£15-£20), infact it is remarkable how easy it is to reach £100 a week with the supermarket shop PLUS all these extras.

If you took the challenge I'd be really interested to know what you found.

The reason for the #7 days challenge?  To dispel the myth that LighterLife is really expensive.  The LighterLife Programmes start at £7.50 a day, if you are spending £100 a week on food, that is already a saving of £6.79 a day, plus, look at what you get:

  • All of your nutritional needs for seven days on Total, 75% on Lite. 
  • One hour of group counselling per week (currently worth between £50-£65 pounds). 
  • Access to a trained and experienced Counsellor seven days a week. 
  • When you reach the Management stages; comprehensive information on nutrition, how to determine the right portion size for your body/level of activity, masses of fantastic recipes and freebies. 
  • Continued support once you have completed the Programme to help you weight maintain.
 
All of that, plus fast and effective weight loss and, save money too??  Who else gives you all that from just £7.50 a day?

LIGHTERLIFE GROUPS - WHICH ONE IS THE ONE FOR YOU?

  

At LighterLife here in Loughborough we offer a full range of groups to suit all clients, but, sometimes which one is right for you can be confusing.  The groups will follow either the Total abstinence Programme and/or the low calorie Lite Programme.  So, here is a description of each group and who it suits.

 

Each group gives you at least an hour of group counselling every week as well as on-going support whenever you need it during the rest of the week.  There are also pop in times available every day Monday to Thursday to aid flexibility if you cannot get to a group time for whatever reason, but, the key to success on LighterLife is to aim to attend the majority of sessions to learn more about your relationship with food - otherwise you will only be doing a diet!

 

LADIES TOTAL - Tuesday 7.00pm to 8.30pm

  

This group is for new female clients with a BMI of 28 or higher who have never been a client of LighterLife before.  

  

 

LADIES REFRESHER - Monday 5.30pm to 7.00pm or Wednesday 7.00pm to 8.30pm

 

This group is for ladies who, for whatever reason, have left the Programme early before completing, or, have completed but have found a few pounds creep back on and want a more structured environment than the Management group to lose the weight.  You can follow either the Total or Lite Programme in this group.

 
You can join any week. 

  

LADIES MANAGEMENT AND LITE- Thursday 5.30pm to 7.00pm

 

  
 This group is for ladies who are currently going through the Management Phase or who are doing the Lite low calorie Programme or are Life Members, i.e. those who have completed the entire Programme of weight loss and all the Management phases.

 

  

LADIES FOUR WEEK COMMITMENT GROUP - Monday 7.15pm to 8.45pm

  

This group is for Ladies who want to commit to a full four weeks on the Total Programme.  The commitment is made by paying for the four Weekly Fees up front and then attending each of the four weekly sessions and purchasing a full 28 foodpacks each week.  This group is available to any ex-clients and Life Members, but, not to any of have previously enrolled on a specific time period group such as this, or a Bootcamp, and failed to complete the number of weeks they committed to.

  

Next 4 week commitment due to commence 13th October.

(N.B. Enrol early for this group as it is very popular - places go fast and at time of going to press, there are just two places left out of the 11)

  

MEN'S GROUP - Tuesday 5.30pm to 6.45pm

  

This is for all Men regardless of status.  You can start any week, but, once you start the commitment is to purchase a Weekly Fee and 28 foodpacks every consecutive week with no missed weeks.  The only exceptions to this are for Life Members who can purchase any amount of foodpacks and attend whenever they wish, and those undertaking the Management Phases where the number of foodpacks relates to the stage they are at.

  

You can join any week.
