Hope you are all well and happy and survived the Trick or Treaters and Penny for the Guy!  One of the advantages of living at the top of a very big hill is that only the intrepid venture up it, so I get to see very few!

 

I'm not a great fan of winter with its cold weather and dark nights, but, one highlight recently was visiting Chatsworth and their Luminaire show. Chatsworth are a great example of never staying the same and are always looking for new ideas to move forward.  If you don't know what it is, it is a beautiful stately home in the Peak District and the Luminaire was an event where they lit the house as it would have been lit pre-electricity, plus a great light show in the grounds - here are a couple of examples:

It's a great example of never standing still and always being ready to try new and innovative things - such as committing to a Lifestyle Change Programme like LighterLife rather than yet another diet.

MYTH VS FACT 

 

 

MYTH:

 

You can't exercise when you do LighterLife.

 

FACT:

 

Yes, you can. 

 

There are four key elements to getting maximum results from the LighterLife Programme:

 

1.  Ensure you have all four foodpacks a day on Total or all 3 on Lite plus the balanced meal we give you guidance on.

 

2.  Ensure you are properly hydrated with ideally water (with or without the LighterLife Water Flavourings), or leaf herbal teas or Savoury Broth, or black decaffeinated tea or coffee.  This means regular intake of around one glass every one to one and a half hours.  Never drink in large amounts.

 

3.  Do at least 20 minutes of moderate exercise a day, e.g. brisk walk (ideally in the fresh air), swim, light weights, yoga, pilates etc.  Nothing that will burn off a huge amount of calories because you are on a low calorie intake, but enough to mentally get you into the swing of incorporating exercise into your day and to exercise your joints, tone up your muscles and give you a mood lift.

 

4.  Attend your group weekly and commit to learn more about yourself, your relationship with food and what needs to change.

BOOTCAMP SUCCESS AIDS LOCAL CHARITY

 

One of the members of the pre-Autumn Bootcamp has links with a local charity (Youth Shelter) that not only provides food for those most in need but also helps teach youngsters how to care for themselves by teaching them how to cook.  She asked if the group would donate suitable food items to the charity equivalent to their weight loss.

 

After eight short weeks the group were able to donate a staggering 14 STONES of food items!

 

The charity were delighted, it made us feel pretty good too, plus, the members of the group had been collecting the food items week on week at home in the same bag so each time they lifted the bag it gave them physical evidence of just how much weight they were shedding.

 

The Leicester Mercury were so impressed that they ran an article on the initiative last week and the Loughborough Echo are interested in reporting on it soon as well. 

 

This has been so successful that my pre-Christms Bootcamp are doing the same thing and after just three short weeks have accumulated over 5 stones worth.

NEW LITTLE BLACK DRESS DIET

 

Are you looking at your party dresses in the wardrobe and wondering how you are going to fit in them this December for all those Christmas parties and New Year parties?

 

Well, worry no more - help is at hand.  Providing you have been a client of LighterLife before and you are either currently medically approved or can self certify you can join my four week Little Black Dress diet on any Wednesday in November.

 

The timing of the group is 7.00pm to 8.30pm and you commit to the four weeks by paying your four weekly fees up front (£60) and then purchasing your 28 foodpacks (Total) or 21 foodpacks (Lite) each week when you come to group for the four weeks.

 

You can lose up to one stone in four weeks which is usually at least one dress size.

We will be open as normal on Monday 23rd December (pop in 5.00-5.30pm, Refreshers 5.30-7.00pm, Ladies Total 7.15-8.45pm) and then closed for the rest of the week.

 

We will then be open again on Monday 30th December as normal (see above) and then closed Tuesday 31st December, Wednesday 1st January and open again Thursday 2nd January as normal (Pop in 5.00-5.30pm, Ladies Management and Lite 5.30pm to 7.00pm and second Pop In 7.00-7.30pm)
