DO YOU WANT A DAY TIME GROUP? 

 

 Those of you who have been clients for a while will know that I have tried for 6 years now to set up a day time group, but there has never been enough interest.

 

However, I don't give in easily!! So, if you are a Lady who is interested in a day time group, please drop me a line at debbie.ford@lighterlifecounsellor.com.  If I get 6 or more interested then I will set one up on a Wednesday between 12 noon and 1.30pm.

MYTH VS FACT 

 

 

MYTH:

 

LighterLife only do a Total Abstinence Programme.

 

FACT:

 

Not true.  We now have something for everyone:

 

LIGHTERLIFE TOTAL:- The original total abstinence Programme for both Men and Women with a BMI of 28+ (or lower BMI but waist measurement of over 88cm). Fast, safe, weight loss coupled with counselling. 

 

LIGHTERLIFE LITE:-  The Programme for both Men and Women with a BMI of between 25 and 29.9.  A low calorie diet coupled with counselling.

 

LIGHTERLIFE FAST:-  Not a Programme but an opportunity for those with a BMI between 20 and 27 to buy foodpacks to use for two day fasting every five days.

 

LIGHTERLIFE REFRESHERS:- A group specifically for those who were not able to complete their Programme first time round and wish to return to have another go. Total or Lite, Men or Women. Check out the article on Boot Camps as well which is aimed at this group.

MEN'S BOOT CAMP - 8 WEEK PROGRAMME.  LOSE UP TO 3 STONES

 

       

 

Following the success of the Ladies Boot Camp I thought I'd see if there are any men out there brave enough to take up the challenge!

 

Starting Tuesday 11th June at 5.30pm for 8 weeks Men could lose up to 3 stones over summer.

 

Commitment is to pay all weekly fees up front on the first night (£120) and then pay for foodpacks (either Total 28 or Lite 21 - but, you can't switch between the two) every week and commit to attending the group sessions.

 

This is not for the half hearted!  If you aim is to cheat, not attend, not take it seriously then don't join.  Only those serious about changing their health and their lifestyle need apply!

 

Oh yes - and you get a FREE drink mix of Mousse Mix on the first night.

Thought for the Month

 

Dog and Mirror  

There is a story they tell of two dogs.  Both at separate times walk into the same room.  One comes out wagging his tail while the other comes out growling.  A woman watching this goes into the room to see what could possibly make one dog so happy and the other so mad.  To her surprise she finds a room filled with mirrors.  The happy dog found a thousand happy dogs looking back at him while the angry dog saw only angry dogs growling back at him.  What you see in the world around you is a reflection of who you are.

Lots to pack in this month:

 

The Ladies Pre-Summer Boot Camp has roared off to an impressive start with a fantastic 3.5 stones loss in the first week - see report below.

 

So successful has it been that I am now offering a Men's Boot Camp to start on 11th June.  See more below.

 

On the theme of "new" groups, I offer every year to set up a day time group, but I never have enough takers with clients preferring evening groups.  However, I'm going to offer again just in case there are now clients or potential new clients out there who would prefer to meet in the day.  See the article on the left below for more details.

 

Denise Welch is now on her fourth week on the Total Programme and has been keeping a video diary - you can see those below.

Update on the Pre-Summer "Boot Camp" for Returning Clients
  
The 9 ladies booked into this Boot Camp have got off to a fantastic start losing 3.5 stones between them in their first week.
  
All cited their confidence levels at a 10 out of 10 for success over the remaining seven weeks!
  
The first week's group counselling theme was "Tools and Techniques for Success".  Below are some of the things that were discussed:
  
Keep a daily record of water intake (a glass every 1-1.5 hours) plus foodpacks so that none get missed and your body is at optimum fat burning level.
  
If the desire to lapse occurs, use the 15 distraction rule, i.e. actively distract yourself for 15 minutes doing something that absorbs you e.g. Facebook, ring a friend, gardening, good book, etc and the desire will go away.
  
Focus on a goal that means something to you and if you experience a "wobble" remind yourself of that goal and why you want to achieve it.
  
There were many others.
  
The ladies also all wrote a letter to themselves about why they have enrolled on the bootcamp and what success over the 8 weeks will mean to them.  I took these away and they will get them back in their 8th week along with an "after" photograph and a certificate of success with their total weight loss and inch loss.

If you like the sound of LighterLife and want to join, firstly book into a free, no obligation initial appointment (every Wednesday at either 3.30pm or 6.00pm), to find out more, then choose the best date and time below for you to start.  You may need to visit your GP, Practice Nurse or Private GP for a short health assessment before you can join, but  MOST clients will be able to self certify and choose to start straight away:
