MYTH:
Weight Watchers is a lot cheaper.
FACT:
A recent documentary calculated how much it cost people to lose 1lb in weight on Weight Watchers - £101.07, and that's before you've bought the bulk of your weekly food.
Virgin Money did a similar calculation on LighterLife and they found it cost clients £29 per 1lb of weight lost on LighterLife.
The calculations take into account how long it takes you to lose the weight and the probability of keeping it off.

TEXT MESSAGING SERVICE
Occasionally you may get a text message from me. It may be to alert you to something, or, answer a query, or check on progress etc. This is not from a mobile phone. I subscribe to a text messaging service via the Internet that allows me to text clients and store the responses and numbers efficiently. So, if you do get a text from me, please don't try to ring the number as you won't get through and you may get charged. Plus, for a reason best known to the service provider, they regularly change the number so please don't store the number thinking you can text back at some point in the future. HEALTHY NEWS AND ADVICE
Good quality sleep is essential. You'll look better, feel better, be less likely to get a cold or have high cholesterol, your metabolism will be better, you'll even be less susceptible to pain. High blood pressure can even be improved with good quality sleep. so, how do you achieve good quality sleep:
- Cut out the caffeine completely.
- Don't take your worries to bed with you. Write things down before you to go bed and if you wake up with a worry on your mind, jot it down and banish it until the morning.
- Herbal tinctures such as passiflora or valerian can aid sleep.
- Eat earlier - you'll sleep better without a heavy meal on your
stomach. - Have a warm bath half an hour before bed to allow your adrenal glands to wind down.
- Don't take work to bed - your mind needs to associate bed with sleep, not brain-spinning activity.
- Try bringing your bedtime forward half an hour - you may find you sleep better with an earlier start time.
And remember, you can't "catch up" on sleep deprivation by having one lie-in at the weekend. |

FOODPACK DEVELOPMENTS
LighterLife are currently reviewing foodpack flavours and manufacturers so you will see some changes over the coming months.
The latest change is that the Nut Fudge bar is a new recipe. It makes the bar slightly "chunkier" in size but a lot of clients are saying they prefer the new taste.
The next bar to change to a new recipe will be the Toffee bar.

Hi everyone,
We have had roughly three sunny days over the last four weeks, and I had more enquiries during those three days than the rest of the year put together! What does this tell us? Probably that as soon as the sun shines we feel our spirits lift, we feel more positive but primarily we start to think about what we will look like in summer clothing and on holiday? We don't know when Spring is going to arrive, nor indeed Summer but don't put off your preparation for it. If you feel you need to lose excess pounds for Summer, then start now. It's much easier to join LighterLife now than it ever has been before - since the self certify scheme came in at the beginning of the year, 90% of those joining have been able to self certify and start straight away.

How to Join
Joining the LighterLife Programme has never been easier.
Step 1:- Ring - 01509 234433 or email debbie.ford@lighterlifecounsellor.com or go to www.lighterlife.com/debbieford to book an appointment on a free, no obligation, initial appointment with Debbie Ford, Counsellor for Loughborough at her Mountfields House premises (full address below).
Step 2:- Complete a questionniare about your Wellbeing to register you as a client.* and join straight away if you wish.
Step 3:- Choose the best date for you to join your group.
Step 4:- Start your journey to a new slimmer, fitter you!

Group Availability
If you like the sound of LighterLife and want to join, firstly book into a free, no obligation initial appointment (every Wednesday at either 3.30pm or 6.00pm), to find out more, then choose the best date and time below for you to start. You may need to visit your GP, Practice Nurse or Private GP for a short health assessment before you can join, but MOST clients will be able to self certify:

The Small Print
The following applies to the new Programme rules:
- All clients must complete a Wellness Profile at an Initial appointment to be able to join a Programme.
- Those clients who are on medications that need to be monitored (this does not apply to all medications - give me a call to check) or who have a condition that needs to be monitored (e.g. Type II Diabetes) will still need to visit their own GP to gain approval to join.
- Clients who needed to gain their GP's approval to join will also need to return to their GP once a month for a blood pressure check.
- Clients aged 16-17 or 70-74 will also need their own GP's approval before joining.
- Clients aged below 16 and 75+ sadly cannot join. Sorry.
- These same rules apply to those who have previously been a client and wish to re-join.
