MYTH:  I don't need to change the way I think about food - I  KNOW I'll keep it off!

 

FACTHow do you know if you haven't completed the Programme yet?

 

I'm sure everyone who says this truly wants to believe it, but, this sadly is a myth I hear too frequently from clients who repeatedly lapse on the Programme and then blame LighterLife for "not working".  They are wearing imaginary "blinkers" expecting the weight to stay off for ever regardless of what they do after the Programme ends.  If our relationship with food was no more than knowing that lettuce is good for us and chips are bad, it wouldn't take much understanding, but our relationship with food is much more complex than that and understanding that is the first step to success.

 

That is what makes LighterLife unique - we work with clients to help them to gain knowledge about why they use food for more than just fuel and then to help them establish a healthier, more balanced relationship with food that enables them to stay slim forever.

 

 

 

Healthy News and Advice

 

 

10 ways to burn more calories without really trying:

 

1.  Walk round the block before your morning shower.

2. Inject more activity into your daily commute, i.e. park further away.

3. Make lifts your enemy!

4.Watch less TV

5. If your job is desk based stand up and move around for 2 mins every hour - will burn off around 120 more cals a day.

6. Stand up, don't sit wherever possible.

7. Cut back on labour-saving devices like the TV remote - get up to change channel, or the dishwasher , wash the dishes by hand.

8. Make your social life more active. Meet a friend for a walk or exercise class rather than coffee and cake.

9. Don't just stand there. When you are waiting for the kettle to boil, balance on one leg, aim for 30 secs before switching sides, this hones stabiilty as well as lower leg strength.

10. Listen to your body. An urge to fidget is our body telling you it needs to move.

Hi everyone,

 

The Little Black Dress countdown has begun!  7 weeks left to Christmas (scary thought) but 7 weeks of opportunity to lose up to a couple of stones in weight on the Total Programme - which is a far more exciting thought.

If you haven't been a client before, come along to one of my FREE, no obligation Initial Consultations on a Wednesday at either 3.30pm or 7.15pm and start your journey.  You will have a head start on your New Year Resolution to lose weight. For those foodpacks that are being discontinued however, I still have stocks of Creamy Asparagus soup, Cream of Onion soup and Raspberry Porridge but they are no longer available for me to order so I anticipate that I will have run out of these within a couple of weeks.

LADIES REFRESHERS GROUP:
(For those who left the Programme before completion and want to return.  Those with a BMI of 30+ can return on the Lite Programme providing they completed a full 8 weeks in the Total Programme before leaving)
