As we are sure you've heard by now, there have been several accusations made by one of our regular participants.
Regular Walk with a Doc participant, Franklin Skrabovaloznik, 45, from London, OH believes that Esther Peabody, 91, Upper Arlington, OH has been doping.
When asked to comment, Frank did not refrain. "Dude, in '07 and '08, I owned her! She had no chance. Now the chick is lapping me not once, but twice - every week. Plus, I swear her head is twice the size it was last year. It's an orange on a toothpick! It's embarrassing as all get out, she's almost twice my age."
Actually Frank, she is twice your age.
Esther was quick to fend of the allegations, kind of....
"Esther Peabody is here to say that Esther cannot recall if she used any performance enhancing substances. If I were to have used "the cream" or "the clear", that is nobody's business but Esther Peabody's. I'm a big girl (91) and I make my own decisions. Plus, I'm sick and tired of Skrabovaloznik being the first one to get to the food at the end of the walk. For Pete's sake, can't we all just focus on why we're here and all the good we are doing?"
The investigation is ongoing but Nurse Megan did share Esther's average blood pressure of 112/64 has been recently recorded at 263/137 on multiple occasions. Several regular walkers have separately shared concerns that Esther is eating more than her 'fair share'.
The Walk with a Doc Advisory Board (pictured above) is having an emergency meeting tonight to discuss initiating random drug testing. We will keep you updated on our site ( www.walkwithadoc.org).
