Workplace Bullying Forum

 

The community is invited to attend the first ever Forum on Workplace Bullying to identify the issues and impact bullying has on employees and employers. There will be a brief panel to introduce the topic, followed by a small group discussion led by trained, neutral facilitators. Each group will come up with 2-3 key issues that need addressing. 

 

What: Facilitated discussion about workplace bullying

When: Wednesday October 23rd, 6-8pm

Where: Pima Community College, 255 N. Stone Ave.

The 2013 Pictures of Hope cards have arrived and are available for purchase. Sixteen children from Our Family's housing programs captured images
that represent their hopes and dreams. Those photos are used on greeting cards sold to benefit our programs. Click here to purchase yours today.
Lights On Afterschool  
 Join Our Family's La Escuelita program and the House of Neighborly Service  for this free community event which recognizes and celebrates quality after school programs. The La Escuelita program provides academic support, enrichment, and prevention education to youth in the City of South Tucson at the House of Neighborly Service community center. 

With the help of our community partners, our program strives to offer opportunities that help foster our students' academic success as well as to support their personal growth and development. Please see the invitation to the right for details.

 

 25th Annual Poinsettia Sale begins!

 

Do you need decorations for a holiday party, or gifts for family, friends or clients? Please buy your holiday poinsettias from Our Family Services!

Inglis Florist provides our beautiful red poinsettias, which come in a 6-inch foil-wrapped pot. Each has 4-5 blooms and is 12-15" tall. Poinsettias are $13 each ($6.50 is tax-deductible.) All proceeds benefit Our Family Services.

Poinsettias will be available for pickup on December 5, 6 and 7 at our midtown warehouse on 3901 E. Grant Road (in the Walmart shopping center, just north of Grant on Alvernon. See map.)

Poinsettias will be available for pickup:
Noon to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, December 5
9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, December 6
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 7  

Prepaid orders of 15 or more poinsettias will be delivered to one home or business address of your choice in Tucson.

 

Please order before Thanksgiving. We sold out last year, so order early!

Congratulations to Our Family board member Scott Koenig, 2013 40 Under 40 winner!


Scott first came to Our Family as an undergraduate intern in crisis intervention and development in August 2002. He was a member of our staff from 2003 to 2005, and now volunteers his time to serve on our board of directors. Scott is the Director of Development for the University of Arizona Alumni Association.

Of his experience with Our Family, Scott says, "I use the communication and listening skills I learned and practiced at Our Family on a daily basis with co-workers, alumni and donors. I wouldn't have accomplished the good things for the community and University without those skills."

We are so proud of you, Scott! We congratulate you on all that you have achieved, and thank you for your service to Our Family and to our community.
