Privacy Law changes - Schools, Businesses and large Charities take note

The changes amend the current Privacy Act 1988. This is the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012. A total of 197 changes have been made to the existing Privacy Act. The changes introduced by the new legislation will come into effect on 12 March 2014. There will be no transition period for these reforms.

Our Lawyers - Alistair Macpherson, James Tan & Nina Brewer - have written extensively on the changes and are regularly advising clients on them including reviewing Privacy Policies.
