"The night before leaving for a safari or shoot, you should be Fire House Ready. In other words, have all your camera's, lenses, and equipment in the car ready to go in the early morning or whenever.
The worst thing you could be doing is loading up your car an hour before you leave. By being ready and prepared well ahead time, you will be able to think about your shoot for the day and save time."

Greetings!
Our August meeting featured Dan Holmes who shared his thoughts on Landscape Photography and processing, and he did not disappoint. Dan parted some of his wisdom and thoughts on how he creates some of his amazing images.
On next meeting will be on Thursday, September 24, 2015 and will feature the multiple award winning photographer, Kristi Elias Sutton. Kristi will discuss her methods on creating the ultimate client experience. Kristi will talk about her three step boudoir posing, how to increase sales and much, much more. You will surely not want to miss this evening presentation.
During our August meeting, Jim Akers, John Grusd, Norman Reneau, Sharon Lobel and Teresa Pepe presented Carlos with camera gear for his veteran's group. Please note that Carlos Lozano is accepting donations of camera gear for the disabled veteran's group. You can contact him directly at (323) 721-6665 for more info.
On Wednesday, September 9th PPOC will be presenting an evening with Jerry Ghionis at the Studio Exchange in Santa Ana. All affiliate members are welcomed and this will be a incredible evening with Jerry. This is the event scheduled earlier this year and postponed. Please visit www.ppoc.org to sign-up for the evening presentation.
Our next PPLAC workshop is set for Sunday, November 1st, Photoshop with Michael Collins, and will be held in Santa Clarita. The workshop will be 10am to 4pm, with a cost of $49 for members and $69 for non-members. Contact Sharon Lobel if you are interested, as this class is limited to 8 people.
Keep in mind that the next PPC image competition will be February 27, 2016 and for the first time, affiliate members can enter the competition including being eligible for awards.

News: Jim Akers Photographer Named Bronze Medalist at International Photographic Competition
Jim Akers earned the honor of Bronze Medalist based on his results from this year's International Photographic Competition! Jim's work will be on display at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, Jan. 10-12, 2016. This International Photographic Exhibit is held in conjunction with Imaging USA,
A PPA member earns a Bronze Medal by having all four images in his or her case included in the General Collection-an incredible accomplishment.
