Greetings!
Our June meeting featured Lynne Eodice who shared her thoughts on "Getting Published", and it was a pretty insightful evening. It was quite interesting to see how the publishing world has evolved over the last 10 years.
Our next meeting will feature our third Digital Photographic Competition of the year. Start getting your images ready, and the submissions start on Friday 7/17/15 with our competition slated for Thursday, July 23, 2015. So fire up the computer and start prepping those amazing images as we march down the road to see who becomes 2015 Photographer of the Year! Will it be you?
On July 26, lighting guru George DeLoache will be doing an environmental portrait lighting class on location. Time will be 1pm to 5:30pm. Cost is $49 for members, and $69 for non-members. Please contact Sharon Lobel at shutterbugsharon@aol.com to sign up as the event is limited.
If you are interested, the next PPC board meeting is slated for July 18-20 and will be held in Long Beach. Check the PPC site for additional information.

Lynne gave a fantastic talk on how tips and tricks on how to get your stunning images published in all mediums; stock images, books, articles, etc. It's incredible to think how much the industry has changed in just 10 years!

Event Recap: Lab/LAX excursion with Sharon Lobel
Those who attended the excursion had a great afternoon of exploring and shooting! The first stop was at one of Southern California's premier digital labs, a family owned lab that develops fine art photo prints to vehicle wraps. What an informative tour!
Next, the group photographed commercial airplanes landing into LAX from three different locations. They were there way after sunset - what a wonderful and creative way to spend an evening!
