Greetings!

Our May meeting featured our second DPC competition of 2015, and as always, the images were just stunning.  Congratulations to Jim Akers for his beautiful Best of Show winning image.  And the judges were stellar as usual, as the comments were insightful and the judges were impressed with the images of the evening.

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, June 25, 2015 and we are looking forward to having our guest speaker, Lynne Eodice. She will be presenting on the topic of "How to get Published".  We are looking forward to seeing you at 6:30pm.

If you are looking for additional motivation, or are interested in learning some new techniques, consider attending the upcoming PPC West Coast School in San Diego during the week of June 14-19, 2015. Visit the website more information and sign-ups.

On June 29, Sharon Lobel will be hosting an "Out & About" print lab tour, no-host dinner and a Sunset shoot near LAX.  We will meet at 2:45pm and will go to about dark.  Cost is $20 for members and $30 for non-members.  Meeting location will be provided upon receipt of payment.

On July 26, lighting guru, George DeLoache, will be doing a environmental portrait lighting class on location.  Time will be 1pm to 5:30pm.  Cost is $49 for members, and $69 for non-members.  For both the Out & About and lighting class, please contact Sharon Lobel at shutterbugsharon@aol.com to signup as both events are limited.

So have a great month, and get out there and shoot some amazing images.

June 8, 2015

Over the last 3 years, 120+ members have taken advantage of the PPC Judging Academy and our affiliates can now present higher quality judging. It is important that we keep our qualified judges up to date and qualified. To remain on the qualified judges list, it is necessary that each qualified judge take a refresher course every 3 years.

The Judging Academy will work with the PPC Affiliates to facilitate the location of the workshops.  Each workshop will be about 3 hours and will cover judging procedures. Changes to the rules are occurring faster than ever before and this class will allow our judges to remain current.

To attend, you must be on the qualified judges list. This refresher workshop will concentrate on judging specifics and rule updates.

Price: $49.00
Premium members will be able to attend at no charge.
