Our October meeting was an insight into the incredible world of Architectural Photography presented by current PPC President, Jim Doyle.  The images were just stunning, and the number of lights used, staggering!

  
Our last meeting of 2014 is upon us, as we look forward to the final DPC of the year.  Note that the DPC meeting is on November 20th, which is the 3rd THURSDAY this month, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  Remember, your images are due by November 16th.  Who will be Photographer of the Year? This DPC will decide, but you must remember to submit your images.  The end of year awards will be presented at our January 2015 Open House event.
  
For those who missed it, the Focus Stacking Studio workshop was by far the best of the year.  Thank you, Bob Young, for an amazing workshop.  Stay tuned for some amazing workshops slated for 2015.
  
As 2015 approaches, we are looking for a few volunteers to help with PPLAC.  We have a full slate of officers who are running for the 2015 Board of Directors, for which you will receive your ballots via email shortly.  But we need some help with Committee assistance, Membership, DPC and Hospitality.  If you are interested, please see either myself or Sharon at our November meeting.  Remember, our organization is only as good as the volunteers who assist.
  
So have a great month, and get out there and shoot some amazing images.

Event Recap: Jim Doyle

Award-winning photographer, Jim Doyle, delivered an outstanding architecture photography presentation. He first showed us images from his mesmerizing work, and walked us through the process of how to capture such images.

Congratulations to our member, Angela Chen, whose work was featured at the Los Angeles Chinese Photographic Festival! 

This event takes place at the China Press Exhibition Hall in Alhambra until November 23rd.
