Ask one of our Board Members in the Rotunda Room between 6:30pm - 6:55pm prior to the general meeting and we will assist you!

Greetings!
Our August meeting lived up to expectations, as our guest speaker Ken Sklute, a Canon Explorer of Light was amazing, sharing his images and words of inspiration. After seeing his presentation, I don't know about you, but I am ready to do some storm chasing photography. Simply amazing and inspiring!
Our upcoming September meeting will be Monica Royal. She is the current San Diego affiliate Chairman of the Board and who is known for her amazing Macro Photography. So prepare yourself for an evening in the Macro world. Also note that we are meeting on the THIRD Thursday, September 18th. This meeting will also be the annual PPLAC Swap Meet. So if you have some photography gear you may be interested in selling, please bring it to the meeting this evening. We will have tables setup for this. You must have each of your items identified with your name and price. And for you bargain hunters, you may want to hit the ATM prior to arriving at the meeting. Just saying...
Our last studio workshop of the 2014 year, will be held on Sunday, October 5th from 1pm to 5pm at Bob Young's studio. Bob will be presenting an afternoon on Focus Stacking. This will be a very informative afternoon. Please contact Sharon Lobel ASAP if you are interested, as this is a first come, first paid workshop, and only a few more spaces remain.
As we approach the end of our year, it is time to start recruiting for our 2015 Board. We are always looking for members to impart their talents, so if you are interested, please consider as we will be taking nominations starting at our September meeting. We have an amazing group of talented photographers, and welcome new board members to take us into the new year.
And for those interested in receiving some feedback on your images, PPLAC offers Critique Corner. At any of our general meetings, bring a couple of images, and one of our PPC Certified Judges will be more than happy to offer you some feedback. Just let our membership greeters know that you would like to have a critique of some images. This is offered from 6:30pm to 6:55pm at each general meeting. Just another benefit of your membership with PPLAC. For those thinking about upcoming trips, the PPC roadshow will be October 11-13 in Mammoth and is open to all photographers. Please see the PPC website for additional information. So have a great month, and get out there and shoot some amazing images...
