Wow, what a great March meeting.  Peter from OnOne Software flew in just for the meeting to give us a personal class on everything included in their newest product, Perfect Suite 8.  The evening was jammed packed with great info, how-to's and some little secrets as well.  Thanks Peter for dropping in from Portland just for us!

 
Our April meeting will feature David Saffir, who will help us understand everything you ever wanted to know about Time Lapse Photography.  He will cover everything from equipment needs to image capture to final processing, and everything in between.  So if you have always wanted to know how to do Time Lapse Photography, mark April 24th on your calendar.
 
In other news, we have inked a very special evening for our June meeting.  Arica Dorff is coming to PPLAC from Las Vegas to present an evening of "Pet'ographique".  This evening will be a combination meeting / workshop, as you are invited to bring your cameras and laptops, as Arica will be teaching pet photography.  We will have a couple of models (dogs) and a few family members, so that you will actually be learning to capture both dog portraits and also a family portrait with dogs as well.  Once we have the image captures, Arica will get into image processing.  This is a first for PPLAC, and the hands-on workshop/meeting will be free to PPLAC members, and just $29 for guests and/or affiliate members.
 
And finally, if you are interested in displaying your images with our PPLAC display at the PPC conference, please email your image ASAP to Bob Young for consideration.  Also, you must be a PPC member in order to submit an image.  And speaking of PPC, keep in mind that PPC conference is coming to Pasadena from April 25-27, so don't miss out on the amazing speakers during the weekend.

Karen Nakamura's Floral Workshop 

A lucky group of PPLAC members witnessed the Master Photographer at work! During the 6-hour hands-on workshop, Karen showed us the step-by-step process of creating her floral art, from shooting the individual parts of the flowers and putting the images together in Photoshop.
